The Bronze Collection Badge for Forest of Falling Stars is called Stargazer, and it is one of the first Elite Training objectives that forces you out into the open world instead of down the story path. It is also the badge that gates a chunk of early progression, since Chapter 1 of the main questline asks for it directly.

Quick answer: Catch wild Aniimo in Forest of Falling Stars until your regional collection progress hits 40 percent. Stargazer unlocks the moment you cross that line.

Stargazer badge requirement and perks

Collection Badges are exploration trophies tied to a single region. They are not items, you cannot equip them in a normal slot, and the only thing that moves the bronze tier forward is catching Aniimo native to that biome. There is no Alpha fight, no Lumin Amber quota, and no research requirement at this tier.

  • Unlock condition: reach 40% Aniimo Collection Progress in Forest of Falling Stars.
  • Behavior Mastery: increases Aniimo catch chance in this area by 10%.
  • Nurture: lets you perform Nurture in this area.

Both perks apply while the badge is held, and the catch bonus compounds nicely if you are planning to push the same region toward Silver and Gold afterwards. Bronze and Silver badges also feed Safari EXP into your player level, which matters because the main story starts demanding higher levels around Chapter 1’s end.

Forest of Falling Stars location and level range

Forest of Falling Stars sits in the Breezy Plains region and covers levels 20 to 25. Its own teleport waypoint appears on the world map once you have activated the Bloom there during Chapter 1, so getting back for catching runs takes seconds. The terrain is mostly open grassland and low hills, which is why it works so well as a farming spot: wild Aniimo are visible from a distance and there is very little verticality getting in the way.

The area holds exactly five Lumin Amber, which is the same number the Gold Collection Badge later asks for. Grab them while you are already out here catching.

Which Aniimo count toward collection progress

Progress is measured against the region’s full roster, so every distinct species you register pushes the percentage up. Fifteen Aniimo are native to Forest of Falling Stars, meaning you need a solid handful of unique catches before 40 percent trips.

  • Celestis
  • Stellarys
  • Prismana Stellarys
  • Rainstorm Stellarys
  • Forest Iris
  • Forest Irisal
  • Beach Chirpi
  • Beach Cornet
  • Beach Tromber
  • Eklue
  • Eko
  • Hummin
  • Pranky
  • Skippy
  • Sea of Flowers Pomegg

Catching duplicates is still worth doing for research and Aniilog levels, but only new species move the badge bar. Eko and Pomegg are worth prioritising here, since Chapter 1’s Elite Training list separately asks you to catch one of each in this exact region.

How to reach 40 percent collection progress

Open Elite Training and track “Earn the Bronze Collection Badge in Forest of Falling Stars” under First Steps with Aniimo. Tracking it keeps the objective and its 0/1 counter pinned to your HUD so you know the second it flips.
Open the world map, pick the Forest of Falling Stars waypoint, and teleport in. You will land on the edge of the grassland with the hills and spawn points directly ahead.
Run a loop through the open fields and ignore the story markers. Quest icons such as Dr. Glass’s Trial will pull your eye, but nothing tied to them affects collection progress, so keep moving between wild spawns instead.

Engage a wild Aniimo and knock its health down before reaching for a capture device. Weakened targets have a much higher capture rate, and a full-health Aniimo will usually break out no matter how many Aniipods you throw.

Throw your Aniipod once the target is low. The on-screen capture percentage tells you how close the attempt is, and a failed throw simply drops you back into the fight rather than despawning the Aniimo.

Sweep up the drops before moving on. Fights here spill out materials like Lightning Shards and Wood Blocks, and Anipod Pro pickups keep you stocked so you never have to break the loop to restock.

Save your ultimate for the stubborn ones. Species that keep breaking free go down fastest if you open with an ultimate skill, drop them into the low health band, and immediately throw. Successful catches also tick along your Idyll Ecological Investigation tracking at the same time.

Repeat with species you have not registered yet. Once the regional bar crosses 40 percent, the badge fires on the spot, no menu confirmation needed.

Confirming the badge and claiming the quest reward

You will see a “Badge Obtained: Stargazer” banner the instant the threshold is met, usually right after the catch animation on whichever Aniimo pushed you over. That banner is your confirmation. If it has not appeared, you are still short of 40 percent and need another new species.

The Elite Training entry does not pay out on its own. Head back into the menu, find the completed objective under First Steps with Aniimo, and claim it for 150 crystals, 300 EXP and three purple potions. The EXP alone is a meaningful chunk at this stage, since Chapter 1 wraps up by asking you to reach Level 25 before the Grade II Student promotion test unlocks.

What the higher Stargazer tiers ask for

Bronze is the only tier in the chain with a single requirement. Everything above it stacks a second condition on top of a higher collection percentage, so it is worth knowing what is coming before you leave the region.

TierCollection progressExtra requirement
Bronze40%None
Silver70%Defeat the local Alpha, Stellarys
Gold100%Obtain five Lumin Amber in the region
PrismaticOwn the region’s Sparkling Prismana and reach Prismatic research tier

Because Behavior Mastery is already active once Stargazer is in hand, the cleanest approach is to stay in Forest of Falling Stars and keep catching straight through to 70 percent with the bonus working for you. The Alpha Stellarys fight is a separate Chapter 1 objective anyway, so clearing it while you are in the neighbourhood knocks out two requirements in one trip.
