The Hunt: Roblox 20 runs from September 17, 2026 through September 28, 2026. Grow a Garden fills the 2025 slot in the event’s twenty-year lineup, and finishing it is the last historical gate before Year Infinity opens. Completing the full objective grants three things at once.

- A Chilli Mango seed (5x in the completion sequence).
- The Grown From a Garden UGC accessory, an off-sale neck item.
Start the quest and find Sam
You can launch Grow a Garden directly, or reach it by clearing the earlier years in the event hub. Either route lands you on your own garden base with a red arrow trail painted on the ground pointing toward the event area.
Follow the trail to the center of the map, then turn to one side and keep going. At the far end you reach two locations that sit opposite each other across the field: Sam standing beside a bare Chilli Mango tree stump, and The Wise Owl’s Garden where the fruit grows. You will run back and forth between these two points for the whole first half.
Talk to Sam to open the quest. His dialogue options include “Who are you?”, “What is this?”, “Give Stolen Plants”, and “Never mind”. Sam looks after the seed shop and the twenty-year-old Chilli Mango tree, which has gone bare. The counter above the stump reads “0/50 Fruits” until you start turning in.
Steal 50 fruits from the Wise Owl’s Garden
Cross the bridge into The Wise Owl’s Garden, which contains several kinds of fruit. Carrying fruit reduces your movement speed: every item costs 2 walk speed, and the penalties accumulate as you carry more.
The speed penalty scales cleanly with how much you are holding:

Carry a maximum of 6 fruits per trip. At 7 or more, the penalty makes you slow enough that the Wise Owl catches you, and you drop every fruit you were holding. Getting caught shows “You dropped the owl’s fruit!” and wipes that run’s haul before you can turn it in.
Press the E key to harvest fruit instead of clicking on each plant. It pulls fruit far faster, which cuts your time inside the garden and gives the owl fewer chances to reach you.
Once you have your batch, run straight back across the bridge. Crossing it triggers a green “Escaped!” notification, which means the owl can no longer catch you for that trip. Don’t linger near the garden after grabbing fruit, and skip any detours, since standing still only gives the owl more time to hit you.
Turn fruit in to lock progress
Back at Sam, talk to him and pick “Give Stolen Plants” to deposit whatever you are carrying. The counter climbs with each delivery, moving through totals like 3/50, 6/50, and 11/50 until it reaches 50. Progress only counts once fruit is submitted to Sam, so harvesting or holding fruit in your inventory does nothing on its own.
If the number isn’t rising, confirm you actually chose “Give Stolen Plants” and that you crossed the bridge to trigger “Escaped!” before reaching Sam. Repeat the grab-and-return loop until the counter hits 50/50.
Grow the Chilli Mango tree for the badge
Hitting 50 fruit completes the collection stage. You’ll see “QUEST COMPLETED – BADGE AWARDED”, the bare stump grows into a large fiery tree, and you receive the Chilli Mango seed. The seed is a progression item, not the final reward, so don’t discard it.
Bring the seed to your base, put it in hand, and place it in an empty garden plot. Leave it there until the Chilli Mango tree reaches full growth, at which point the game awards the Timeless Roots badge. Planting alone is insufficient, so wait for completion before looking for the badge.
If the seed appeared but the badge hasn’t, focus on the tree rather than collecting more fruit. The collection stage is already done at that point, and only the tree’s growth still needs to complete.
Claim Grown From a Garden and check Year Infinity
With the Timeless Roots badge earned, return to The Hunt: Roblox 20 hub and travel to the 2025 area. Interact with the claim stall there to register the Grown From a Garden accessory. The item is a Roblox-created neck accessory and is currently off sale, so completing the quest is the way to obtain it.
Because 2025 marks the end of the event’s historical run, completing it is also required to access Year Infinity, which becomes available only after all twenty years are complete. If that year remains locked once the tree has fully grown, return to the hub and verify that the 2025 completion and reward were recorded; the in-game badge and the hub progression track appear on separate screens.
