Genshin Impact 7.2 Banner Leaks: Mitya and Zibai

Where the Version 7.2 lineup stands right now, from the November 4 launch estimate to the rumored Geo reruns.

Genshin Impact’s Version 7.2 banners have turned into one of the busiest leak cycles Snezhnaya has produced so far. Two new Electro characters, a boss lineup that reads like a shopping list, and a Cryo Archon waiting one patch later have left a lot of players unsure where their Primogems should go. Here is what holds up and what is still guesswork.

Quick answer: Nothing is official. Version 7.2 is expected around November 4, 2026, with Mitya as the new 5-star and Valeriy as a 4-star. The rerun slots remain unconfirmed.

Genshin 7.2 release date and banner phases

The schedule follows the usual six-week pattern. Version 7.1 begins on September 23, 2026 and runs to about November 3, which places 7.2 immediately after it. Every date below is an estimate until HoYoverse publishes the calendar, and the full lineup is normally revealed in the Special Program roughly one to two weeks before a patch goes live.

Characters are not the only thing tied to the patch. Leaks also point to a Snezhnaya map expansion built around a port area called Puerto Belovodye, plus a world quest involving a tree spirit attack and a defense battle at a wooden house. Neither has been shown officially.

Mitya: The 5-star Electro Stellar-Conduct carry

Mitya is the headline of the patch. He is described as a 5-star Electro catalyst whose damage scales off Elemental Mastery rather than ATK, and whose entire kit sits inside the Stellar Conduct system. HoYoverse already nudged this along with a Known Issues note stating that the plain Electro Vision he shows during the 7.0 story is a display error, and that he should read as an Electro Stellar Linchpin.

The key distinction is the source of the damage. A standard Stellar Linchpin creates a Polestar field, and characters within it produce Stellar Super Conduct hits. When Mitya is active, however, the field and the Cryo-Electro reaction reportedly deal damage independently. Sandrone instead debuted Stellar-Conduct in 6.7 as an enabler, so he fills a different role.

His Elemental Skill is said to have tap and hold versions, with the tap aimed at on-field damage and the hold letting him contribute from the bench. His Burst builds in stacks, and his Electro application sits at a steady mid frequency.

Base DMG multiplier14%14%
RES shred25%
Elevation20%

Constellation crumbs fill in the rest. C1 reportedly adds more Elemental Mastery and loosens the requirement for firing his Burst. C2 splits by playstyle, giving a CRIT benefit when he is on the field and Resistance reduction when he plays off-field. A separate line of leaks credits him with stacking CRIT Rate at C0 and a talent that grants Elemental Mastery and damage bonuses for each Cryo and Electro character on the team.

Reportedly, the enhanced Superconduct triggers only during Mitya’s field time, meaning leaving him off-field continuously can reduce his maximum output.

As a limited 5-star he should also bring a signature catalyst. A leaked stat line for that weapon lists 88.2% CRIT DMG as its secondary stat.

Valeriy: The 4-star Electro support that surprised everyone

Valeriy appeared in the 7.0 Archon Quest alongside Mitya, which had plenty of players pencilling him in as a limited 5-star. The leaked 4-star billing changed that expectation. He is described as an Electro sword user built to hold a reaction team together rather than deal damage himself.

  • A team-wide shield for Stellar-Conduct lineups.
  • Stellar-Conduct damage receives a 20% increase.
  • Mitya gains 120 Elemental Mastery, directly supporting his scaling.
  • Electro application reported at roughly once every 3.5 seconds.

Reports diverge on the specifics. In some, the shield-and-buff kit is present at base; in others, the advertised values require constellations, and C6 supplies the complete 20% damage increase plus 120 Elemental Mastery. Sources also disagree on his job: one makes him an on-field anchor, while another puts him mainly off-field as an Alyosha-like support that trades ATK buffs for shielding. His 4-star status remains uncertain too.

Because his buffs reportedly overlap with the Tsaritsa’s, he may fill her place in a Mitya lineup before the Archon releases.

How the Stygian Onslaught bosses point at the rerun slots

Most of the community’s 7.2 banner predictions are not built on a leaked banner list. They are reverse-engineered from the rumored Stygian Onslaught boss lineup, because each boss carries an element-specific shield that heavily favors a small set of characters. English and Chinese communities landed on nearly identical predictions from the same three clues.

The first boss is the cleanest signal. Its shield only comes down to Stellar or Electro damage, which lines up exactly with the character debuting in the same patch.

The Emperor of Fire and Iron is the Fontaine giant crab, and its Pyro shield is handled fastest by Hydro. That is what pushed Neuvillette and Furina into the prediction pile, with Furina treated as the more likely of the two. The Radiant Moon Gecko comes from Nodkrai and layers a Geo shield on top of a Radiant Cocoon mechanic, which is where Lunar Crystallize enters the picture.

Zibai and Linnea as the Phase 2 rerun candidates

Both Geo characters were originally rumored for Version 7.1 before the official Phase 2 lineup landed on Skirk and Escoffier. That freed them up, and their kits map neatly onto the Radiant Moon Gecko. One early banner-list datamine lists four characters for 7.2, naming Mitya, Zibai and Linnea with a fourth slot still unidentified. Varka has also been floated in rerun talk.

Zibai5-star Geo swordLunar Crystallize damage
Linnea5-star Geo bowGeo RES shred, healing, off-field damage

The common prediction puts Mitya in Phase 1 next to a Hydro rerun, then Zibai and Linnea together in Phase 2. It is a reasonable read, but it remains a read. Rerun lists usually only firm up right before a test build opens, and the same two names kept getting pinned to 7.1 as well.

The Exalted list is not a rerun schedule

A recurring false claim needs correction: In Stygian Onslaught, Exalted records the 16 characters players used to finish the most difficult level; on easier difficulties, those entries receive HP, ATK and DEF boosts. The selections show which characters are popular and effective on each server, not who is slated for banners.

Pull or save for the Tsaritsa in 7.3

The Cryo Archon reportedly arrives in the very next patch, around December 16, making 7.2 look more like preparation than an endpoint. Early kit details point to stellar reactions and teamwide CRIT Rate sharing, while one rumored lineup uses Mitya, Odette, and Danica or Valeriy. Mitya is intended to complement her, and Valeriy can reportedly occupy her position until then.

  • If Sandrone or Stellar-Conduct is already in your roster, Mitya supplies the missing damage dealer.
  • Looking for an adaptable Electro DPS? A Mastery-scaling character that can operate on or off the field is an uncommon option.
  • The Tsaritsa is the goal: treat 7.2 as a banking patch and lean on Valeriy as the cheap bridge.
  • Cryo-Electro is not your thing: skip and reassess once the reruns are confirmed.

What to stockpile before 7.2 goes live

Character-specific talent and boss materials stay locked until a unit is actually live, so the useful prep work is the generic stuff. Both newcomers are Electro, which means they share an ascension gem.

  • 28,800 Primogems to guarantee Mitya, plus more if you want his catalyst.
  • Roughly 420 Hero’s Wit to take one character from level 1 to 90.
  • Around 8 million Mora per fully built character.
  • Mitya and Valeriy both use Vajrada Amethyst as their Electro ascension gem.

Every number and name above comes from pre-beta datamines, and the 7.2 test build has not started yet. Kits get rebalanced, rarities shift, and rerun slots routinely land somewhere nobody predicted. Treat the boss-shield theory as a strong hint rather than a schedule, and wait for the Special Program in late October before committing a wish count to anything.
