Nightfall weapons in Slayers 2 aren’t sold by any vendor. Each one is locked behind a schematic hidden somewhere on the map, and once you’ve claimed it, the recipe unlocks at the blacksmith so you can forge the weapon with the right materials. Four of the seven are straight pickups if you know the route. The other three are built around timers, random keys, and a map-wide lever hunt.
Quick answer: Four Nightfall schematics are direct pickups. The Serpent Katana needs a random underwater key, the Gauntlet needs three statues hit 100 times each, and the Sickles need all 10 hidden levers flipped.
All seven Nightfall schematics and what each one requires
| Schematic | Area | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Nightfall Katana | Mistfall Harbor | Underwater cave behind the waterfall |
| Nightfall Serpent Katana | Mistfall Harbor | Random Serpent Key, used on cave box |
| Nightfall Axe and Mace | Mountain pagoda | Climb to the interior rafters |
| Nightfall Scythe | Iceveil Valley | Tunnel maze under the Wind Trainer |
| Nightfall Gauntlet | Three separate zones | 100 hits on each of three statues |
| Nightfall Claws | Butterfly Estate | Deep underwater pedestal |
| Nightfall Sickles | Map-wide | All 10 levers, then the harbor drain |
Most of these routes involve long dives. Buy an Underwater Breathing Potion from Alchemist Meku at Mistfall Harbor before you start, and swim on horseback while holding Shift to cover water far faster than on foot.

This is the fastest schematic in the set. There’s no puzzle attached, just one dive and one climb.

Nightfall Claws: the deep dive at Butterfly Estate
Teleport to the Butterfly Estate Shrine and head toward the water past the wooden bridge, in the same direction as the Yeti area. Instead of climbing up, drop straight down into the water.
Dive and keep swimming downward. The passage runs deep underground before opening into a chamber with a pedestal. Interact with it to claim the Nightfall Claws Schematic. Like the Katana, there’s nothing gating it beyond the swim, so it’s worth grabbing early.
Nightfall Axe and Mace: the pagoda rafters
One schematic covers both weapons. Ride out from Bamboo Grove toward the Mother Bear area and look for the steep mountain with a building at the top. The climb up the cliff face is the hardest part of the route.
Once you’re inside the pagoda, look up. You need to reach the wooden platforms near the ceiling, and a mobility skill or a weapon with vertical movement saves you a long string of precise jumps. The Nightfall Axe and Mace Schematic sits on the top interior platform.
Nightfall Scythe: the tunnel maze under the Wind Trainer
Fast travel to the Frost Veil Shrine in the snow village and walk to the Wind Trainer’s breathing platform. The entrance isn’t on the platform — it’s in the water directly in front of it, hidden beneath the ledge next to a submerged statue.
Swim through the false ground into the snow tunnel system and follow the corridors through Iceveil Valley. The turn order through the maze is:
- Left at the first junction
- Left again
- Right
- Left, then continue to the end
The corridor ends at a frozen pedestal. Interact with it for the Nightfall Scythe Schematic. The same tunnel network branches toward other pedestals, so note the turns on your first run if you plan to come back.
Nightfall Serpent Katana: finding a Serpent Key that works
This one is a lottery rather than a puzzle. The schematic is locked inside a box in a cave near Mistfall Harbor, and the keys that open it spawn randomly on the seabed around the harbor.

Holding one key doesn’t mean you’re done. Each key is only a chance at the box, so budget time for repeated dives.
Nightfall Gauntlet: three statues, 100 hits each
The Gauntlet is a quest rather than a pickup. Teleport to the Hidden Mist Village Shrine, drop down toward the wooden walkways and enter the house to speak with Stonemason Tobei. He explains the three statues you need to wake up.
Each statue demands a specific damage type and a 100-hit count. After you finish a statue, teleport to another shrine and come back — its eyes glow once it has registered, which is how you confirm the hits counted.
| Statue | Location | Damage type |
|---|---|---|
| Demon orb statue | Akaza cave, Windy Peak | Breathing or Blood Demon Art |
| Katana statue | Forgotten Ruins bridge, near Rengoku | Weapon attacks |
| Fist statue | Top of Verdant Cliffs | Fists only |
Statue 1: the Akaza cave
From Windy Peak Shrine, ride to the cave beside the Akaza boss spawn. At the entrance, take the right-hand side to reach the statue with the demon orb. Use only Breathing Style skills or Blood Demon Art on it; ordinary attacks do not count. Activation changes its eyes to purple.

Statue 2: the Forgotten Ruins bridge
Use fast travel to reach Mistfall Harbor, then cross the long bridge toward the Forgotten Ruins dungeon area near the Rengoku boss. A katana-holding statue sits on the bridge railing. Strike it 100 times with an equipped weapon, exit the area, and come back; completed activation makes its eyes neon green.
Statue 3: the Verdant Cliffs summit
Head back to the Hidden Mist Village Shrine, then ascend through the trees toward the top of Verdant Cliffs by leaping across branches and logs along the mountain wall. A balcony on a building partway up has a lantern lever, marking the route you should be following.

At the summit, unequip your weapon and punch the statue 100 times with your fists. With all three glowing, head back down to Stonemason Tobei and he hands over the Nightfall Gauntlet Schematic.
Nightfall Sickles: all 10 lever locations
The Sickles have the longest unlock in the set. Ten levers are scattered across the map, and flipping all of them opens a sealed drainage pipe at Mistfall Harbor where the schematic waits. Work through them in a fixed order so you don’t lose track of which ones you’ve already toggled.
| # | Area | Where exactly |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Butterfly Estate | Underwater on a Torii post |
| 2 | Butterfly Estate | Second underwater Torii post, near the bridge |
| 3 | Bamboo Grove | Outer upper tier of the pagoda |
| 4 | Verdant Cliffs | Top of the wooden scaffolding |
| 5 | Stone Trainee | Wall slot in the drop-down beside the trainer |
| 6 | Mistfall Harbor | High hill beside the pink tree |
| 7 | Bamboo Grove | Deep underwater in the lake |
| 8 | Windy Peak | Behind a crate in the Akaza boss cave |
| 9 | Iceveil Valley | Underwater Torii gate in the freezing river |
| 10 | Hidden Mist Village | Inside the Taichi trainer’s house |
Levers 1, 2, 7, and 9 all sit below the surface, so run them back to back while an Underwater Breathing Potion is active. Lever 6 is easy to walk past because it’s mounted far higher than the rest of the harbor, and lever 3 is on the outside of the pagoda rather than inside it.
With the tenth lever flipped, fast travel to Mistfall Harbor, run across the bridge, and look along the cliffside for the drainage pipe that is now open. Drop in, follow it to the end, and claim the Nightfall Sickles Schematic. If the pipe is still sealed, one of the ten levers didn’t register and needs another visit.
Crafting Nightfall weapons after you have the schematics
Claiming a schematic only unlocks the recipe. Take it to Blacksmith Togane, open the crafting menu, and the Nightfall entry appears alongside the rest of his list — the Nightfall Serpent Katana recipe shows up there once the box has been opened, for example. You still need the matching materials before the forge will accept the order.
Refinement Ore is the usual bottleneck. Togane can start you on the Ouwigahara dungeon run, reached through the portal near Final Selection Plains, and the points you bank in there trade with Changer Zeni for Wen and ore. Salvaging spare gear through Ginzo at his stall is the other reliable route to Mythic Refinement Ore.

Once the weapon is forged, Refiner Hagane in Hidden Mist Village will push it further, spending Wen and Refinement Ore to raise it toward +10 for up to +4 damage. The linear damage nodes in your Skill Tree stack on top of that, adding small increments like +0.5 and +0.8 per point.

If you’re going for the full set, front-load the Katana, Claws, Axe and Mace, and Scythe in one session, since none of them ask for anything beyond a route. Save the Sickles for last so the ten-lever sweep gets your full attention instead of being broken up by other objectives.
