Undercity is a maze of slime canals, stone rings, and identical arched tunnels, which makes hunting for a class trainer slower than it should be. The priest trainers are not spread across the city — all three stand in the same quarter, in the same building, a short run from where the elevators drop you off.
Quick answer: Undercity’s priest trainers are in the War Quarter, northwest of the Trade Quarter, in the building shared with the warrior trainers.
Where the War Quarter sits on the Undercity map
Undercity is built as a ring of quarters around a circular center. The elevators from the Ruins of Lordaeron drop you into the Trade Quarter at the middle of that ring. From there, the War Quarter is the section to the northwest, with the Magic Quarter to the northeast, the Rogues’ Quarter to the southeast, and the Apothecarium to the southwest.
Open your map and look for the labelled War Quarter in the upper-left portion of the city. The trainers sit along the outer ring of that quarter, on the raised ledge that overlooks the combat pit in the middle.

The War Quarter building numbered 20 on Undercity’s layout holds priest and warrior trainers together, so you will see six class trainers clustered in a small area. Only three of them carry the <Priest Trainer> title.

Father Lazarus is the easiest of the three to walk past. He stands inside the arched tunnel on the raised section, so if you are running the outer ring at ground level you will pass underneath him.
Aelthalyste is the banshee priestess of the group and the one most players end up using. She is a level 60 NPC of the Undercity faction with 4,120 health, and she teaches the full priest spellbook, including the racial spells. Place your cursor on the outer War Quarter ring just southeast of the skull icon and you are standing on her spot.
Racial spells are trained here too. Undead priests pick up higher ranks of Devouring Plague from Aelthalyste, while Troll priests get Hex of Weakness ranks, starting at rank 2 at level 20.
How to confirm you found the right NPC
Hover over the NPC and check the subtitle under the name. A genuine trainer displays <Priest Trainer> directly beneath their name, and the War Quarter building keeps warrior trainers in the same room, so the title is the fastest way to tell them apart at a glance.
Talk to the trainer on a priest character and the training window opens with the list of available ranks and their gold costs. On any other class, you will only get a short gossip greeting and a Goodbye option — the NPC is correct, the character is not.
Use a guard if you lose the path
Undercity’s guards double as a navigation system. Speak to any of them and ask for a class trainer, and they will plant a red flag on your map pointing at the destination. The same trick works for the bank, auction house, inn, bat handler, stable master, weapon master, and profession trainers.
Since you are already in the War Quarter, it is worth noting what else shares the area: the blacksmithing and mining trainers, and Master Archibald, the weapon master who teaches crossbows, daggers, one- and two-handed swords, and polearms. One trip covers a lot of errands.
