Version 7.1 finishes the Snezhnaya story arc across two Archon Quest acts that must be played in order. Act 3, White Night, Like A Dream Upon Waking, sets up the Tsaritsa’s plan, and Act 4, A Rekviem for the Underworld, ends with the Traveler facing Ronova, the Ruler of Death. Both acts released on September 23, 2026 alongside Version 7.1’s first phase.
Quick answer: Reach Adventure Rank 18, clear Chapter 7 Act 2 “Wraith’s Nocturne,” then play Act 3 followed by Act 4. The finale includes two separate Ronova fights and pays out 620 Primogems.
Unlock requirements for Chapter 7 Act 3 and Act 4
The gate for the whole Version 7.1 story is the same one that covered the earlier Snezhnaya acts, and the two new acts are chained together rather than offered side by side.
- Adventure Rank 18 or above.
- Chapter VII: Act II, “Wraith’s Nocturne,” completed.
- Act 3 “White Night, Like A Dream Upon Waking” completed before Act 4 becomes available.
If Act 4 does not appear in your quest list, the missing step is almost always the Act 3 clear. Keep following the Archon Quest marker instead of hunting for a separate entrance in the open world.
Act 3: White Night, Like A Dream Upon Waking
Act 3 runs through three subquests. Most of it is dialogue and cutscene work, with a handful of short collection and interaction objectives between the story beats.
Light and Shadow Intertwined
The opening subquest introduces Danica and moves quickly into an audience with the Tsaritsa, who lays out her position directly. The section closes with the Mirror of Remembrance and a conversation that ties Ronova to Rhinedottir.

Sparks Converging Upon the Tundra
This is the most hands-on stretch of Act 3. After Danica talks about her past and a crowd gathers, you head to the Northern Bank, collect Seals of Life, and then summon the train that carries the story forward.

One Move Left to Make
The final Act 3 subquest is the longest single block of the act and sets the board for the confrontation in Act 4. Once it ends, Act 4 unlocks immediately.

Act 4 objectives: A Rekviem for the Underworld
Act 4 is also split into three subquests, and the objective list is worth scanning ahead of time so you know when combat is coming.
Delusion
- Leave the Podvorye Restaurant and travel to Glupov to meet The Jester.
- Enter the Delusion Experiment Site and speak with the research staff.
- Run three rounds of the Delusion experiment, waiting for results after each one.
- Help The Knave purify Abyssal power.
Etched in Time
- Ride the elevator to the Mirror of Remembrance and report the results to The Jester.
- Touch the Mirror of Remembrance, then wait while The Jester gathers the Harbingers.
- Head to the Sealed-Off Archive and witness the Harbingers’ vote.
- View The Wise’s notes, enter the etched memories, and talk to the Harbingers present.
Black Feathers Scattered at Parting
- Attend the Marionette’s tea party, then rest at the Podvorye Restaurant.
- Travel to Rankova Zorya and speak with Mitya.
- Confront Ronova and defeat Ronova, the Ruler of Death.
- Escape the Afterlife, then defeat Ronova after she has been stripped of her power.
- Talk to your companions and then to Paimon to close the act.
How the Ronova fight is structured
The ending is not one boss fight. It is a fight, a platforming section, and then a second, shorter fight with assistance from an ally. Bring a team you can sustain with, because there is no way to swap out mid-sequence.

How long A Rekviem for the Underworld takes
| Subquest | Speedrun | Normal pace |
|---|---|---|
| Delusion | 10–15 min | 20–30 min |
| Etched in Time | 35–40 min | 45 min–1 hr |
| Black Feathers Scattered at Parting | 50 min–1 hr | 1 hr 20 min–1 hr 45 min |
| Act 4 total | 1 hr 35 min–1 hr 55 min | 2 hr 25 min–3 hr 15 min |
The speedrun figures assume auto dialogue and skipping through text as fast as the game allows. The normal-pace range covers watching the cutscenes and stopping to talk to the optional NPCs that appear after major scenes.
Rewards and how to confirm the quest is finished
Completing the new Archon Quest grants 620 Primogems. The clear registers after the closing conversations with your companions and Paimon, at which point the quest disappears from your active Archon Quest list and the Version 7.1 story entry is marked complete.
Two things follow the ending. Ronova becomes available as a repeatable Weekly Boss, and a set of short follow-up quests opens across Teyvat that deal with the glowing nail in the sky. Those check-ins take the Traveler to Alyosha in Snezhnaya, Albedo on Dragonspine, Xiao above The Chasm, Yae Miko in Inazuma, Dehya and Candace in Sumeru, and Mavuika in Natlan.
Ronova as a Weekly Boss: Resin cost and first claim
Ronova follows the Trounce Domain system rather than the world boss cycle. Her reward claim requires 60 Original Resin; each week, the first three Trounce claims across the shared weekly boss roster cost 30 Original Resin instead. After those three discounts have been spent, Ronova’s first claim that week uses the full cost.
Her reward pool covers the usual weekly boss categories, including boss-specific character talent materials at eligible difficulties, Adventure and Companionship EXP, Mora, ascension gems, artifacts, and a chance at Dream Solvent or weapon billets. Open the live reward preview and cross-check it against the talent screen of the character you are building before you spend anything.
If a talent material drops that you do not need, do not write it off. Dream Solvent can convert Ronova’s boss-specific materials between each other at the Crafting Bench once the relevant recipes are available.
Because the Weekly Boss remains available permanently, launch week does not require a rushed clear. For Version 7.1’s story, take Act 3 and Act 4 at a normal pace, watch the cutscenes, and check the reward preview once before making your first claim for the cleanest progression.
