Aniimo: Miser Helgon Location in Russet Highlands

Miser Helgon is a Level 60 winged, dragon-like Aniimo that stands guard over a treasure chest inside an instanced cave in the Russet Highlands area of Breezy Plains. The entrance is easy to miss because it sits in shallow water at the base of a cliff, glowing purple from within.

Quick answer: Head to Russet Highlands and go to map coordinates -0103, 1746. Enter the glowing cave in the pool at the cliff base, then follow the single tunnel to the clearing where Miser Helgon (Lv. 60) waits by a chest.

Cave entrance location in Russet Highlands

Russet Highlands is a level 46–51 zone within Breezy Plains. The cave that holds Miser Helgon is marked on the world map as a “Cave Entrance” pin. When you place the pin and read the tooltip, the map shows the message “A cave entrance. What could be inside?” at coordinates -0103, 1746.

Open the regional map, zoom into Russet Highlands, and drop your waypoint on the Cave Entrance marker so the on-screen tracker points you to the spot. When you get close, the game shows “You are near the target location.”

How to reach Miser Helgon

Go to Russet Highlands and use your waypoint to reach -0103, 1746. Find the pool beside the rock face; the cave entrance there shines purple.

Wade into the shallow water and approach the glowing opening. Press the interact button on the portal to trigger the “Enter the Cave” prompt.

Confirm the interaction to load into the instanced cavern. After the loading screen, run straight down the single tunnel. There are no branching paths, so you cannot get lost.

The tunnel opens into a clearing where Miser Helgon (Lv. 60) stands beside a treasure chest sealed behind a purple barrier shield. Reaching this room confirms you are in the right place. A yellow target indicator and a distance readout appear above Miser Helgon as you close in.

Miser Helgon is carried as a “New” entry, so approaching it registers the encounter. The chest it guards is locked behind the shield until you deal with the guardian.

Catching a wild Helgon in Russet Highlands

The standard Helgon (No. 66A) also lives in Russet Highlands and appears separately from the cave guardian. You first meet a cursed Helgon during a “Help the Aniimo” objective, where the goal reads “Defeat the Helgon carrying Helmut in its mouth.” This black, dragon-like creature flies near the cliff face, so you catch or defeat it in the open world rather than inside the cave.

Gather the Anipods scattered on the ground, then switch to your human form to line up a throw. The wild Helgon here is Level 40, and if your own level is too low the game warns, “This target’s level is too high. Try raising your level before coming back to catch it.”

Throwing at an airborne target often shows a “Catch failed” message, so keep higher-tier capture pods ready. Once the cursed Helgon is defeated, a cutscene plays and the freed Helmuts appear, completing the objective and unlocking the Helgon card along with experience and chest rewards.

Helgon type, stats, and evolution

Helgon is a Nova stage, Wind element Aniimo that fills the Break role. It resists Dark and Wind damage, is strong against Dark and Grass, and is weak to Light and Lightning. Its base stats are as follows.

Helgon is the final form in its line. Jawling evolves into Helmwhelp at Level 38, and Helmwhelp evolves into Helgon at Level 48. To unlock the Helgon evolution you must open 30 chests in the world cumulatively, and the evolution costs three Gust Stone.

With its Fly pathfinding skill, Helgon is a useful companion for reaching high ledges and puzzle areas elsewhere in Russet Highlands, which makes it worth the trip beyond simply logging the encounter.
