Storage Hunters: How to Maximize Mining in The Mines (Roblox)

The Mines is the underground mining area added behind the Power Plant in Storage Hunters. It lets you swing a pickaxe at rock nodes for jewels, grade your tools for better output, and trigger server-wide mutation events. Getting the most out of it comes down to a fixed order: unlock the cave, own the right pickaxe, and keep Speed and Luck buffs running while you farm.

Unlock The Mines behind the Power Plant

At the sealed door, pay 50 diamonds to open it. This unlock is permanent, so you only pay it once to keep access to The Mines.

Get a pickaxe from the Mine Bunkers

Inside the cave there are six auction lots. Pickaxes are won by opening the Mine Bunker containers, which cost $70 entry and require $200,000 net worth to bid on.

Pickaxe tiers run Wooden, Iron, and Diamond, with an Emerald pickaxe rumored above them. The Diamond Pickaxe carries a Legendary rating with +22% Mining Speed and 186% Mining Luck, so it is the target for serious farming.

Grade your pickaxe up to 3 stars

Grading is the single biggest permanent boost to a pickaxe. Take it to the Grading Shop receptionist and add it to a slot to be graded. A successful grade of 1, 2, or 3 stars raises both the Mining Speed and Mining Luck percentages the tool already has.

Aim for a 3-star result before you commit to long farming sessions, since the stat bump compounds with your drink and accessory buffs.

Buy Mining Speed and Mining Luck Drinks

The Miner’s Drink Seller booth sits near the cave entrance and sells the two buffs that decide how fast and how well you farm.

Clear your inventory before you mine

Jewels take inventory slots, and a full bag stops you collecting more. Before a farming run, move sprays, certificates, and any non-essential items into your shop storage containers so every slot is free for mined gems.

Mine the rock nodes

There are 10 distinct Rock Nodes, each with a higher net worth requirement, rising all the way to $500,000,000 for Node 10. Higher nodes carry better drop tables for the top gems.

Walk up to a node such as Rock Node 9 and hold the mining prompt. Standing close keeps the timer running.

Keep your Speed and Luck buffs active. A node’s base timer of roughly five minutes per jewel drops to about 2 minutes and 28 seconds or lower with buffs running.

For AFK farming on PC, an auto-clicker or macro can hold the prompt while you stay near the node. The HUD shows a countdown to the next jewel, so you can confirm it is still ticking.

Watch the Quick Sell rate before you dump gems. When it reads a positive bonus, it is a better time to sell your haul.

Brew gem events at the Mixing Cauldron

The Mixing Cauldron sits at the center of the cavern. Feed it collected jewels to start a 20-minute server-wide mutation event. Each jewel type needs a different number of gems to brew, and the rarer the jewel, the fewer you need and the stronger the mutation.

Ruby produces the strongest mutator at 110x, and Titanium is lowest at 7x. The cauldron has two cooldowns: a brew can be launched once every 30 minutes, while repeating an individual jewel event requires a 4 hours wait.

How to confirm your setup is working

You know the loop is running correctly when the node’s HUD counter shows a shortened time to the next jewel, such as “Next jewel in 2:25,” instead of the base five minutes. That reduced timer confirms your Speed and Luck buffs, graded pickaxe, and accessory duration are all active together. Keep the buffs topped up, clear your bag between hauls, and brew a Ruby event whenever your cooldown allows to squeeze the most value out of every session.
