AION 2 stores much of its weekly value behind counters that wipe every Wednesday, and anything you leave unspent is simply gone. Field bosses, weekly shop allowances, and a handful of timed resources all reward a short routine done before the clock rolls over, and skipping them means walking into the next week already behind.

Quick answer: Before the Wednesday reset, kill the four field bosses in Altgard and Verteron for Unique armor and refining stones, spend Odyle Energy before it caps, and buy the weekly limits in the Abyss, Shugo Festival, and Nightmare shops.

Field bosses in Verteron and Altgard

Four high-tier field bosses roam Altgard and Verteron: Silent Dartan, Immortal Gartua, High Commander Lagla, and Soul Ruler Kashapa. Open the map and use the Exploration menu to find each one and track how far away it currently is, then plan a route that hits as many as possible while they are up.

Soul Ruler Kashapa is a level 48 Hero-rank Cogni boss that appears in Verteron and in Altgard’s Fafnite Deposit. Silent Dartan is also level 48 and Hero rank, spawning in Verteron’s Southern Altamia Highland and in Altgard’s Basfelt Ruins. Both drop a guaranteed loot chest on top of their random loot tables.

These fights need a crowd. Arrive while a boss sits between 30% and 50% HP to lock in participation credit, and expect 30 to 50 faction players to be needed to bring one down. Showing up after it is already near death risks missing the reward entirely.

Field boss drop rates

Soul Ruler Kashapa and Silent Dartan share the same loot table and chances. The guaranteed loot chest aside, their random drops cover three tiers of refining stone, a Unique artwork, and a full set of Unique armor and accessories. The table below lists the shared chances.

Selling refining stones on the market

The refining stones from field bosses carry the most resale value of anything they drop. Artisan’s Refining Stones trade for around 380,000 to 400,000 Kina each, Expert’s Refining Stones for roughly 107,666 Kina, and Lesser Manastones for about 150,000 Kina. Even a handful of boss kills a week turns into a meaningful pile of Kina if you list the stones instead of hoarding them.

Market access is tied to the Special Quai Membership, which also grants Remote Storage, Quna Exchange access, and the Wind Breeze Merchants. Without it, you cannot list these stones for sale.

Spend Odyle Energy before it caps

Odyle Energy refills on a timer, offline included, and stops regenerating once it reaches the ceiling. The base cap is 560, and Special Quai Membership raises it to 840. Open Conquest and Transcendence cubes regularly so the bar never sits full and throws away refills.

You can top up beyond natural regeneration in two ways. Substance Morph crafts up to 20 Odyle Energy (Bound) per week, with each craft needing 25 Odyle, 5 Fine Odyle, 1 Pure Odyle, and 50,000 Kina. The Wind Breeze Merchant sells another 20 per week at 100,000 Kina each, for 2,000,000 Kina total, though that stock only appears with an active membership.

Weekly shop limits worth buying

Several vendors reset their stock on the weekly cycle, and an unused purchase allowance disappears at reset rather than carrying over. Clear the high-value entries first.

Abyss Trade Shop

Put the Potential Stone: Abyss (Unique) at the top of your list in the Growth tab, at 25,000 Abyss Points. After that, pick up the weekly Lesser Abyssal Manastones and Soulstones while they are in stock.

Shugo Festival Shop

Soul Crystal (Bound) is capped at 30 per month here, so buy it on cooldown rather than letting the allowance lapse. Radiant Odyle (Bound) is also worth grabbing for your upgrade chains.

Nightmare Trade Shop

Buy the weekly Soul Codex to feed Soul Binding, which upgrades skill rolls and syncs Unique items. Skip the 8,000-point Soul Codex: Reset unless you are deep into min-maxing an end-game build, since it drains far more than it returns for most players.

Black Cloud Merchant

The vendor refreshes its wares hourly, with discounts ranging from 20% to 50% on upgrade items, pets, and skins. Look in when you log in: the offer you’re after could disappear within the hour.

Manastones and Theostones

The stones you socket change your character sheet directly. Manastones add stats and raise gear score, contributing +2 for green stats and +1 for white stats. Theostones socket an active proc skill onto a weapon, so they add an effect rather than a flat stat. Spend your boss-drop and shop Manastones where they close the biggest gap in your build.

Check Abyss Supply Requests before delivering

The Emergency and Weekly Abyss Supply Requests both require item deliveries, and some rewards are poor compensation for what you give up. A few ask for rare, valuable refining stones but return relatively little. Check the terms before handing anything over, and keep any stones that would bring you more if sold.

Weekly entry counters that do not carry over

Weekly entry counts refill to their cap on reset and never stack past it, so three Ascension Trial entries become three again, not six. Burn them before Wednesday.

  • Daily Dungeon: 14 Daeva Bio-Research Base entries a week, shared per server.
  • Ascension Trial: You get 3 entries per week, counted separately for each character.
  • Subjugation: 3 tickets a week, tracked per character.
  • Abyss time: 7 hours in each layer, resetting rather than banking.
  • Command scrolls: buy the weekly limit before reset, since purchases do not roll over even though the quests can be finished later.

The Daeva Bio-Research Base is the daily dungeon, where you defeat test subjects before their transformation and collect the Odyle they leave behind. Use both entries each day to reach the full 14 by the next reset without scrambling at the last minute.

When the weekly reset happens

The weekly reset happens on Wednesday, matching the daily refill’s time of day. Your server clock determines the precise hour, so hover over an in-game entry counter and check its “Weekly recharge in” timer instead of working it out from a set time. Use that timer as the cutoff for all the activities above; doing so lets you take the entire week’s field boss loot, refining stones, and shop purchases into the next cycle without forfeiting them.

Field Boss Spawn Zones and Membership Caps

All four field boss spawns are level 48, Hero rank, and Cogni type. Each region’s version carries its own title, so you can tell the Verteron and Altgard spawns apart when you check the map.

Because each boss exists in both regions, a single character can pick up the same boss’s drops in either zone. Kashapa and Dartan each have their own loot chest, so the two bosses give two distinct guaranteed rewards per region.

Special Quai Membership extras

Beyond the higher Odyle Energy cap, the membership changes several other limits that matter at reset:

BenefitEffect
Shugo Festival Reward KeysMaximum raised to 21
Odyle Energy Cube Selection CountIncreased in Expedition, Transcendence, and Sanctuary
Login queuePriority access
ScopeAccount wide
Duration30 days

With a 30-day duration, the membership lapses partway through a weekly cycle unless you renew it on schedule. When that happens, the 840 Odyle Energy ceiling, the 21-key limit, and the market and merchant access all revert together.
