The Ocarina is a special instrument in SCROOMS that lets you channel songs to interact with the world. You earn it from Halden after completing his quest, and the first song it teaches, Homeward Melody, sends you straight back to your set spawn point. Here is exactly what to do.
Quick answer: Complete Halden’s quest “The Next Step” by paying respects at all five weathered statues in Songkeeper’s Grove, accept the Ocarina, then play Homeward Melody with the notes Left, Down, Up, Left.
Unlock requirement: Halden’s quest “The Next Step”
Halden gives you the Ocarina for completing his quest, “The Next Step.” Songkeeper’s Grove is the starting area, where many tamers’ first notes still linger in the branches; find its five weathered statues and pay your respects at each one.

The Ocarina song interface
Equip the Ocarina from hotbar slot 5 to open the song interface. On the left is a “Known Songs” panel with a “Skip Song” toggle and two tabs, “Known Songs” and “Songsheets.” The center shows a musical staff, and below it sits an ocarina with four directional arrow buttons plus a red play/stop button.
The four input buttons are Left, Up, Down, Right. You press them in the right order to perform a song. Homeward Melody is the first song you know, and its description reads “Return to your set spawn point.”

Homeward Melody notes and how to play it
Homeward Melody uses four notes. Enter them in this exact order on the arrow buttons: Left, Down, Up, Left.

How to know it worked
Play the four notes in that order and the song takes you back to your set spawn point.

You arrive beside the leaderboard boards showing Most Catches, Most Playtime, and Most Chimes, which confirms the melody carried you home.
