Everyone who bought Enshrouded on Steam during Early Access keeps permanent founder status when the game leaves Early Access on October 15, 2026. That status unlocks three decorative base props built to mark the years the game spent in development. They are purely cosmetic, they carry no stats or combat bonus, and they exist to let long-time players show off that they backed the game early.
Quick answer: Own Enshrouded on Steam before 1.0 launches, then open the Escape menu in-game and select Redeem Add-Ons to claim all three decorations — and you can redeem them as many times as you want.
The three Early Access founder decorations
All three items are large, placeable base props rather than wearable gear. They slot inside your Flame Altar boundary alongside your other furniture and building pieces.
| Decoration | What it is |
|---|---|
| Commemorative statue | A stone statue standing over 4 meters tall, meant for a hall or entrance |
| Early Access tome | An ornate book carrying the sculpted “E” that served as the Early Access logo for over two years |
| Hero signal | A glowing signal light, the kind you switch on when you need a hero |
Keen Games has noted that the in-game appearance differs slightly from the promotional images because of how the visual effects handle transparency. None of the three changes how your character plays. They are display pieces for personalising a settlement.

Add to Google Preferences →How the Redeem Add-Ons button works
Claiming happens entirely inside the 1.0 client, with no quest, chest, or web redemption to chase. Load any world on version 1.0 with your eligible account, press Escape to open the pause menu, and choose the new Redeem Add-Ons entry. The three props drop straight into your inventory, ready to place inside a Flame Altar boundary.
The redemption is not a one-time grant. You can press Redeem Add-Ons repeatedly and pull as many copies of the statue, tome, and signal as you like, per account and per world. Losing one, scrapping one, or handing one to a friend never uses up your entitlement.
A successful claim puts all three props in your inventory, ready to place within an active Flame Altar area. If the Redeem Add-Ons option is missing, check that you’re signed in to the account that owned Enshrouded before 1.0 and that the full release—not the old Early Access build—has finished installing. If the claim still won’t go through, contact official Enshrouded support instead of deleting saves or purchasing the game again.
Sharing the props with friends who buy later
Players who purchase Enshrouded after it leaves Early Access cannot use the Redeem Add-Ons button to claim these decorations. But the placed props themselves are not locked to your account once they are down in a world.
This gives co-op groups an easy way to share the items. An eligible founder can enter a friend’s world and set down the statue, tome, or signal within the friend’s Flame Altar boundary. The friend can keep the props and move or reposition them as desired. The restriction works in one direction: a later buyer may remove an existing decoration, but cannot place a new one. If a decoration is removed, an eligible founder must place it again.
Because the props can be redeemed endlessly, there is no cost to a founder visiting several friends’ worlds and leaving copies behind in each one.
Flame Altar resets can erase placed decorations
After you have been away from a map chunk for 30 minutes, areas beyond an active Flame Altar boundary return to their default state. Cosmetics remain in place only while they are inside a live Flame Altar zone.
Extinguishing a Flame Altar removes its protection, so any placed non-reclaimable cosmetics inside that zone are permanently erased when the world resets. Before you put down the founder props, agree with your group on a permanent spot, and do not snuff out the altar that covers them.
The old Twitch drops are now free world loot
Founder props are joined by cosmetics that were once limited-time Twitch drops during Early Access. The Siren Seeker, Blood Rose, and Imperial Scholar sets are now permanent base-game loot, available for anyone to find in Embervale chests, quests, and points of interest.
That means missing those earlier drops no longer locks you out of the cosmetics. The only items genuinely restricted to Early Access buyers are the statue, tome, and signal. Everything that was once a limited giveaway is earnable in-game by any player on 1.0.
Enshrouded 1.0 goes live globally at 15:00 UTC on October 15, 2026 on PC and PlayStation 5, and PC Early Access owners upgrade automatically without paying the price difference. Once you are in, the Redeem Add-Ons button is the only place you need to visit to collect your founder set.
