Fortnite Safety in Numbers Rewards and How to Unlock Them

Earn 80,000 XP per stage on Horror Creator-made islands with a friend to claim all five free cosmetics before November 12.

Earn 80,000 XP per stage on Horror Creator-made islands with a friend to claim all five free cosmetics before November 12.

Safety in Numbers is a Fortnitemares 2026 quest line built entirely around Horror maps made in UEFN. It runs as ten identical stages, and clearing every two of them hands over one of five free cosmetics. The twist is that none of it registers in Battle Royale, Zero Build, Reload, Horde Rush, or OG — you have to grind XP inside creator-made experiences.

Quick answer: Party up with at least one friend and earn 80,000 XP for each stage on Horror Creator-made islands. Complete the goal in all ten stages by November 12, 2026, when the quests end, to get every reward.

Every Safety in Numbers reward and its unlock milestone

The rewards follow a fixed sequence, regardless of how you complete the stages: the first comes at quest 2, then more at 4, 6, 8, and 10. These five account-bound cosmetics are free and are not Battle Pass items; each milestone adds its reward directly to your locker.

The Cuddlz Back Bling is the final unlock and the one most players chase. Both pickaxes and Cuddlz are usable in Battle Royale and Reload, so they carry over into standard play once claimed, and Cuddlz also works in Fortnite Festival. The Welcome To Harrowville loading screen is part of the Shadefly set.

How XP and party requirements work

The objective never changes across the ten stages: collect XP on Horror Creator-made islands while grouped with friends. Each stage needs 80,000 XP, which adds up to 800,000 XP for the full track. Finishing a stage also grants 10,000 XP, so completing all ten pours 100,000 XP toward your Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass.

  • Only UEFN experiences categorized as Horror count toward progress.
  • XP counts only if you are grouped with at least one other player.
  • Matches in Battle Royale, Zero Build, Reload, Horde Rush, and OG award no progress toward this quest.
  • Daily and Weekly Creative Quests provide extra progress, helping you clear each stage faster.

While queued for Battle Royale or another Epic-made mode, this quest line is absent from your Quests tab. To make Safety in Numbers show up, select a Horror map first.

How to find and start the quests

From Fortnite’s main lobby, open the Discover tab and scroll down until you reach the Horror category row.
Choose a creator-made island from the Horror category. With a Horror map selected, go to the Quests tab to find Safety in Numbers.
Make sure at least one friend is in your party. If your friends aren’t online, use a second personal account on a different device or join up with a player from an open LFG lobby.
Enter the selected Horror island as a group and play rounds, earning 80,000 XP for the current stage. Continue through the stages until you finish all ten.

When UEFN quests don’t appear at all, look in parental controls and confirm UEFN access is enabled. Most accounts have this turned on by default.

Horror island codes that count toward progress

Any island listed under the Horror category works, but these codes let you and a friend drop straight in and start farming XP without hunting through the Discover menu.

Claiming rewards and confirming each unlock

Track your progress from the Quests tab: the stage bar advances toward 80,000 XP, while the Bonus Goals counter increases whenever a quest is completed. At each milestone, its cosmetic is added to your locker automatically and is ready to equip, with no separate claim screen to visit.

You have until November 12, 2026, while the quest line remains available. Once it ends, progress on unfinished stages no longer counts, and this track can no longer grant any cosmetics you have not earned. Similar event items have appeared in the Item Shop before, but their return this time is unconfirmed, so complete the grind before the quests expire.
