Craft two epic fish at the Fisher, then grind them at the Mill for a level 40 material the Flame needs.

Craft two epic fish at the Fisher, then grind them at the Mill for a level 40 material the Flame needs.

Fish Teeth, Fish Bones, and Piscine Ivory Dust are all level 40 Common materials in Enshrouded, and each stacks to 250. Catch a Yellowfin or Thornridge with your rod to make Fish Teeth or Fish Bones; make Piscine Ivory Dust at the Mill. The Fisher turns two epic fish into the first two items, and the Mill turns either of those into the third.

Quick answer: Catch a Yellowfin and craft it into Fish Teeth at the Fisher, or catch a Thornridge and craft it into Fish Bones, each with 2 Gold Coins. Grind either one at the Mill for Piscine Ivory Dust.

Craft Fish Teeth and Fish Bones at the Fisher

Fish Teeth and Fish Bones both come from the Fisher, and both recipes need a sheltered base. The difference is which epic fish you bring. Both fish can bite at any time of day.

Keep casting your rod until you catch a Yellowfin to get Fish Teeth, or a Thornridge to get Fish Bones.

Fish Teeth are described in-game as “The threatening teeth of a fish that is no threat anymore.” Fish Bones read as “Small fish bones that can be used in crafting. They feel brittle in your hands, but they’d be a terrible pain if stuck in your throat.” The Yellowfin itself is “A sleek fish with a vivid yellow fin, also known for its quick bursts of speed.”

Grind Piscine Ivory Dust at the Mill

Open the Mill, select Piscine Ivory Dust, and add one Fish Teeth or one Fish Bones. Processing takes 180 seconds to yield 1 Piscine Ivory Dust.

Its item text reads: “Piscine Ivory, often called the ivory of the sea, ground into a bright powder. Renowned for its strength and resilience, it can even serve as a component in metal alloys, lending them exceptional robustness.”

What Fish Teeth are used for

Fish Teeth feed into bait recipes at the Fisher, helmet upgrades at the Hunter and Alchemist, and the Mill grind above. The bait recipes also need Capybara Bristles.

What Piscine Ivory Dust is used for

Raising the Flame from level 9 to 10 takes 10 Piscine Ivory Dust alongside other materials, so plan several grinds ahead of that upgrade. The full set of Flame altar requirements lays out what else that level needs.

Beyond the Flame, the dust goes into shields and armor at the Blacksmith, gear at the Hunter, and gear at the Alchemist.

Blacksmith

Each of these shields takes 1 Piscine Ivory Dust: Crestflame Shield, Emberguard Shield, Astrodome Shield, Shield of Arisztar, Golden Bulwark Shield and Sunpiercer Shield. Shield of Arisztar, Golden Bulwark Shield and Sunpiercer Shield also take Steel Bars; see Steel Bars. Golden Bulwark Pants and Golden Bulwark Helmet take 2 each, and Sunpiercer Gloves take 4. The helmet requires Gold Bars, while the pants require Pink Mushroom Meat.

Hunter and Alchemist

At the Hunter, Quetzal Hunter Shoes and Quetzal Hunter Gloves take 2 each. At the Alchemist, Tidecaller Gloves, Tidecaller Headpiece and Waveborne Ritualist Gloves take 2 each.
