Enshrouded 1.0: How to Get Tropical Wood and Bamboo Logs

Tropical Wood and Bamboo Logs are two tree materials that come from the Veilwater Basin in Enshrouded. You harvest both by cutting with an axe, and a Steel Axe handles the job cleanly. Tropical Wood reads as “This tropical wood can be harvested from ancient trees. It is very sturdy!” Bamboo Logs reads as “Sturdy, bendy, and regenerative: Bamboo is an ideal material for any Flameborn looking to build a tropical home.” Both are Common materials that stack to 250.

Quick answer: Take an axe to the Veilwater Basin. Cut large ancient trees for Tropical Wood and cut bamboo groves for Bamboo Logs. The materials drop into your pickup list.

How to get Tropical Wood

Look for large ancient trees throughout the Veilwater Basin to gather Tropical Wood. Because some grow within the Shroud, monitor your Shroud timer as you harvest.

Head to the Veilwater Basin with an axe equipped. A Steel Axe does the job well.

Walk up to a large ancient tree until the cut prompt appears, then swing until the trunk falls.

Once the tree drops, Tropical Wood lands in your pickup list. Grab it and move to the next tree.

How to get Bamboo Logs

Bamboo Logs come from the bamboo groves in the Veilwater Basin. Find a grove, equip your axe, and cut the bamboo stalks. The logs stack up fast, and they drop straight into your pickup list, so keep cutting through the grove until you have what you need.

Grow Tropical Wood and Bamboo at your base

Once you have a few logs, you can plant more at the Seedbed instead of returning to the Basin each time. Each recipe takes 3 minutes.
