Fortnite: How to Get the Fancy Ragdoll Sidekick

Fortnite’s newest Sidekick is a cat. Fancy Ragdoll is an Uncommon Sidekick that Epic describes as “the sweetest little fluffy friend.” It arrived in the Item Shop with the October 16 reset at 8 PM ET, in the middle of Fortnitemares 2026. It is a standalone purchase, so it isn’t tied to a collab and doesn’t come in a bundle with other cosmetics.

Quick answer: Go to the Item Shop’s Hot Drops tab and spend 1,200 V-Bucks on Fancy Ragdoll before it exits the shop at 8 PM ET on October 23, 2026.

You can only buy Fancy Ragdoll on its own, so the price you see is the whole cost. Some listings show a 1,500 V-Bucks price, but the official Item Shop sells it for 1,200 V-Bucks. Once October 23 passes, there is no confirmed date for it to come back.

How to buy Fancy Ragdoll in the Fortnite Item Shop

Launch Fortnite and open the Item Shop from the main lobby. Switch to the Hot Drops tab, where Fancy Ragdoll has its own section.

Select the Fancy Ragdoll Sidekick tile to open its item page. Check that the price reads 1,200 V-Bucks and that you have enough V-Bucks in your balance.

Press and hold the Purchase button. Keep holding until the circle around it fills completely, which confirms the purchase.

Wait for the in-game notification saying Fancy Ragdoll has been added to your locker. If you see that message, the purchase went through.

Open your locker and equip Fancy Ragdoll in the Sidekick slot. From there, you can start customizing its look.

You can also buy it outside the game. Sign in on the Fancy Ragdoll page in the Fortnite web Item Shop and complete the purchase there. The Sidekick will then show up in your locker the next time you log in.

Fancy Ragdoll customization options

Fancy Ragdoll comes with built-in customization. You can mix fur patterns and colors to build your own version of the cat. These are the options in its customization menu:

Fancy Ragdoll rewards and Sidekick Points

Buying Fancy Ragdoll also starts a reward track. You fill it by earning Sidekick Points, which you get by keeping the cat equipped and playing matches. Battle Royale, Zero Build, Reload, OG, and other modes all count. The track unlocks four cosmetics:

The October 23 deadline only applies to buying the Sidekick. Once Fancy Ragdoll is in your locker, the rewards have no time limit, so you can earn Sidekick Points whenever you like.

You can open the Rewards tab in the Sidekick’s locker menu to track your progress. Each unlocked item becomes available to equip right away. Playing Fortnitemares 2026 quests across different islands is an easy way to earn points while you work on the event.
