Version 2.3 of Where Winds Meet adds Qingzhou, and the region comes with new Oddities. Four of them sit close together around the mountain trail at Porter’s Burden Trailhead and the lakeside below it. A sunken chest puzzle is in the nearby water. Each one is solved with a single tool you already have: your bow, Meridian Touch, the drum dials, Mighty Drop, or the Lift Up prompt.
Quick answer: Shoot the flying bird for Earthsong Xun. Use Meridian Touch on the hidden bell for Bronzepeal Zhong. Tune two drums for Hidesound Gu. Use Mighty Drop on weasel fog for Bamboonote Chi.
| Puzzle | Where | What you use | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Earthsong Xun | Sky above the stone arch gate | Bow | Earthsong Xun |
| Bronzepeal Zhong | Overlook by the pine tree | Meridian Touch | Bronzepeal Zhong |
| Hidesound Gu | Lakeside forest edge | Drum dials | Hidesound Gu |
| Bamboonote Chi | Riverbank fog patches | Mighty Drop | Bamboonote Chi |
| Spring chest | Open lake water | Lift Up / Put Down | Echo Jade, coins, materials |
Oddities stay hidden on the map until you get close. Once you are near one, a Fairy icon appears. Every solve also adds Qingzhou Exploration progress and stored EXP.
Qingzhou access requirements
You have to be able to reach the region before any of these puzzles count. Qingzhou opens when you meet these conditions:
- Reach Character Level 32.
- Finish the Chapter 1: Heaven Has No Pier main story quest.
- Start the Lost Chapter Away to Qingzhou, which takes you to the region.

Add to Google Preferences →How to solve the four new Qingzhou Oddities
All four are close to each other, so you can clear them in one trip. Start on the stone steps leading up to Porter’s Burden Trailhead and work your way down toward the water.
Earthsong Xun: shoot the wooden bird

Bronzepeal Zhong: strike the hidden bell

Hidesound Gu: tune two drums

Bamboonote Chi: catch the yellow weasel
Bamboonote Chis are spread around Qingzhou, and yellow weasels steal them. The weasels hide inside clouds of yellowish-green stinky fog. A tutorial window explains this the first time you run into one.

Qingzhou water spring chest puzzle
Out in the lake, a bubbling spring is holding a chest underwater. To bring the chest up, you have to plug the spring with a heavy rock.

Confirming each Oddity counted
Every solve produces an “Obtained [Oddity]*1” entry in the system log and increases your Qingzhou Exploration total. The Oddities serve a purpose beyond collecting: exchange them with Oddity Exchange NPCs to improve your Melodies of Peace talent and gain stat boosts and arts. Once that log entry appears, the Oddity is in your inventory and can be exchanged.
