The Halloween Egg is a limited-time event egg in Steal an Egg, and it is the only way to hatch the game’s exclusive Halloween pets. You can get one in two ways. You can buy it with Robux in the Halloween Egg shop, or you can catch one of the rare natural spawns that appear in the biomes and carry it home before anyone else does.
Quick answer: Buy the egg from the in-game Halloween Egg shop, starting at 99 Robux. To get it for free, watch the rare-egg alerts on the left side of your screen and grab a Halloween Egg when one spawns in a biome.
Halloween Egg Robux prices
The paid route is the guaranteed one. The Halloween Egg shop sells single eggs and bundles. The larger packs cost less per egg.
| Pack | Price | Cost per egg |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Halloween Egg | 99 Robux | 99 Robux |
| 3 Halloween Eggs | 249 Robux | 83 Robux |
| 10 Halloween Eggs | 799 Robux | ~80 Robux |
| 50 Halloween Eggs | 3,499 Robux | ~70 Robux |
Because this is an event egg, the shop listing will not stay up forever. The Halloween Dimension event on Steal an Egg’s official Roblox event listing runs from Saturday, October 17 to Saturday, October 24, 2026. Plan any purchases inside that window.

Halloween Eggs can also spawn naturally in the biomes on the map, in places like Desert, Jungle, Snow and Volcano. These spawns are random and rare. When a rare egg appears, the game posts it in the feed on the left side of the screen, in the same format as other alerts like “A Rare Egg spawned in Snow!” Every player on the server sees the same alert, so speed matters.
Biome Speed requirements
A spawn is only useful if you can get to it. These are the minimum Speed values for each biome. Forest is the starting area and has no requirement.
| Biome | Speed needed | Nest Guardian |
|---|---|---|
| Lake | 900 | Swan |
| Desert | 10k | Scorpion |
| Jungle | 40k | Tiger |
| Snow | 170k | Yeti |
| Volcano | 700k | Cerberus |
| Abyss Ocean | 2.5M | Beluga Whale |
| Prehistoric | 18M | T-Rex |
| Cosmic | 700M | Cosmic Skeleton |
| Cherry Blossom | 2.5B | Oni Tiger |
| Titan Temple | 7B | King Gorilla |
Large eggs slow you down while you carry them, so having extra Speed makes the run home safer. Treadmills and Trails from the Store raise your Speed, and upgrading the Treadmill increases how much Speed each session gives you.
Steal an Egg has no code redeem box. Any site or video offering a “free Halloween egg” code is fake. Never hand over your password, pay Robux outside the game, or download anything to get one.
Halloween Egg hatch chances
Every Halloween Egg rolls from a pool of exclusive Halloween pets. The odds are steep at the top end.
- Most common pet: 39% chance
- Rarest pet: 0.5% chance
- Zombified variant: 1% chance
The zombified version is a separate special variant of a Halloween pet. At 0.5%, you would need around 200 hatches on average to land the rarest pet. That works out to roughly four 50-egg bundles, though each hatch is independent and luck can go either way.
How to confirm you got the Halloween Egg
A successful steal ends with the egg sitting in your pen. Once it hatches, the Halloween pet appears there and starts earning cash every second. Eggs keep hatching while you are offline, too. Open the Pet Index to check the new entry, then claim its reward from the Index menu to get the Speed and income bonus that comes with a first hatch.
If you want a Halloween pet without paying, stay on a busy server, keep the spawn feed in view, and push your Speed high enough to reach the later biomes. If you would rather skip the wait, the shop bundles are the sure route. Either way, the egg goes away when the event ends, so don’t sit on it until the final day.
