Witch's Knot

The Rapiers are a pair of dual swords in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, and getting them is mostly a test of speed. They sit in a golden chest in the Main Hall’s Watch Tower district behind an iron gate. A lever raises that gate, but only for a short time, so you have to climb one shaft, cross over, and drop down the other before it shuts again.

Quick answer: From the Main Hall save point, go west through Elevator Tower and West Hall into the Watch Tower. Hit the left lever, climb the left mirror shaft, drop down the right one, and reach the chest before the gate closes.

Where the Rapiers chest is

The chest is in the Watch Tower, a district of the Main Hall area in Dracula’s Castle. It sits in the lower chamber of a two-shaft puzzle room, tucked into an alcove on the right side behind a vertical iron gate. The lever that opens the gate is on the far left of the same chamber, which is why you can’t just walk over and grab it.

The Rapiers are the only item the Watch Tower holds. The easiest place to start the run is the Main Hall save altar, which sits a short way east of the puzzle room.

How to get the Rapiers from the Main Hall save point

Rest at the save altar in the Main Hall. Open the map if you want to confirm where you are before heading out.

Leave the save room through the left exit and head west into the Elevator Tower. Stay on the lower floor and keep running west past the central elevator.

Cross into West Hall and work your way past the spike traps, platforming up to the upper path. From there, drop down through the passage that leads into the Watch Tower.
In the Watch Tower’s lower chamber, walk to the lever on the far left and strike it. The gate on the right side lifts and the timer starts right away.

The gate is on a timer. If you take too long on the climb, it drops shut and you’ll have to hit the lever again.

Go straight up the left shaft. Wall-jump and dash through the chain of glowing mirrors, which teleport you upward, until you land on the top platform.
Dash across the gap at the top to reach the right shaft. Let yourself fall, passing through the right-side mirrors on the way down.

As soon as you hit the bottom, dash into the alcove under the gate. You need to clear it before the timer runs out and it closes.
Open the golden chest inside the alcove to collect the Rapiers.

How to confirm you have the Rapiers

Opening the chest brings up the weapon card. It reads RAPIERS with the Refined rarity tag, ATK 50, and Blade Flurry listed as the combo finisher. On a controller, holding Y equips them on the spot, and A dismisses the card. The chest’s position also stays marked in the Watch Tower on your map afterward.

Rapiers stats and combo effect

Here’s what the Rapiers bring to your loadout once they’re equipped.

ATK50

Stagger power30
Mana per hit2
Combo finisherBlade Flurry

The Rapiers reward clean hits. If your previous strike connects, pressing Attack again keeps the combo going instead of letting it end, and the chain closes out with Blade Flurry. Each hit also builds mana, so longer strings feed back into your resources.

Main Hall districts on the Rapiers route

The route passes through three Main Hall districts, and two of them have their own pickups worth noting while you’re there.

The clue in the Elevator Tower points out that the Artist is hiding somewhere in the Main Hall. The Rapiers count toward the Main Hall’s 17 completion items, part of the area’s 267 completion total, so grabbing them also moves your area progress forward.
