Indigo Plant is a Revelwood material in Enshrouded. It’s the blue pigment behind Blue Fabric, carpets, decorative boxes, and a long list of furniture pieces. It grows wild across the region, and once you have one, you can grow more at home. The tall purple blossoms stand out against the grass, so you can spot a patch from a distance, even while gliding.

Quick answer: Fast travel to the Revelwood Ancient Spire, glide off the north ledge, and harvest the Indigo Plant at the tower’s base. For larger hauls, run the Diadwyn and Thornhold roads.

Indigo Plant locations in Revelwood

Almost every wild Indigo Plant in Embervale is in Revelwood. The world has 456 placed plants: 454 are in Revelwood and only 2 are in Blackmire. That makes Revelwood the only region worth a dedicated trip. These four spots give the most plants for the least travel.

Single clumps also show up elsewhere in the Revelwood woods. Vases and other breakables around Flame Shrines and the spire sometimes drop Indigo Plant too. Harvested plants respawn over time, so you can repeat the same route.

Base of the Revelwood Ancient Spire

This spot gets you your first plant quickly. If you haven’t unlocked the spire yet, start from Diadwyn or Carpentry Camp instead.

Open the map and fast travel to Ancient Spire – Revelwood. You arrive inside the tower.
Walk to the north ledge, jump off, and open your glider. Keep gliding until you reach the ground at the foot of the tower.
Look straight ahead after you land. An Indigo Plant grows there. Walk up to it and press the collect prompt to pick it.

Clifftop meadow northwest of the spire

From the spire’s north balcony, glide toward the cliff ridges to the north. After you land, head northwest along the dirt trails and through the gaps in the rocks. Weave between the hills and trees so you keep altitude, and glide across any short drops. You’ll come out on an open, grassy clifftop to the west-northwest of the Abandoned Hunter Camp. Several Indigo Plants grow there along the grass and rock faces. Flax grows in the same meadow, so you can grab it on the same trip. Enemies are rare here, though a boar sometimes spawns.

Diadwyn

The boar settlement of Diadwyn lies roughly 300 meters west of the Revelwood Ancient Spire. Its farmbeds contain Indigo Plant alongside Forest Beet, Flax, and Hazelnut. More plants grow in the surrounding fields, beside the boar dens, and on their roofs.

When you’ve cleared the village, take the dirt road south until it meets the stone road. Turn right at the tents and the torch, then head toward the respawn flame. Follow the dirt road uphill. Four more plants sit along the curve of the road on the hill. The road loop alone gives around seven plants, not counting the village beds.

Thornhold

Thornhold, a Scavenger stronghold, stands in Revelwood’s middle-east. For the quickest route, glide east from the spire’s summit, crossing the Shroud toward a break in the forest line. Climb the path to a small farmstead, then pass through the cave near the mountain to reach Thornhold. A dirt road runs into the forest from the town’s southwest side. Around eight Indigo Plants grow near the road; some line its edge, while others sit just behind the trees.

A shirtless red-haired warrior stands beside a glowing flame altar on a cobblestone path while The Flame's message appears below.
The Flame tells the player that other survivors are drowsing in nearby Ancient Vaults and urges them to find one just outside of the Shroud’s grasp.

Thornhold is an enemy camp, and Revelwood enemies are tuned for level 13 characters. Bring gear that can handle them.

Indigo Plant stats and uses

You only need to press the harvest prompt on the plant. No special tool is required. Once you have it, the plant shows up in your inventory as Indigo Plant:

  • Type: material
  • Rarity: Common
  • Item level: 13
  • Stack size: 250
  • Region: Revelwood

The game describes it as a flowering plant that you process to extract a deep blue pigment. That pigment is what most recipes use it for. Common uses include:

  • Blue Fabric: 1 Fabric and 1 Indigo Plant, crafted at the Hunter
  • Carpet
  • Bembel Pitcher
  • Desert Temple Block
  • Blue and Cyan Decorative Boxes
  • Crypt Bookrest
  • Paintings such as Boar At Home and Flower Vase

How to grow Indigo Plant at your base

One wild Indigo Plant is enough to start a farm. After that, you won’t need to make return trips to Revelwood.

Go to the Farmer at your base and craft a Seedbed and some Farm Soil.
Load the Seedbed with 1 Indigo Plant, 1 Farm Soil, and 1 Water. This produces 10 Indigo Seedlings.
Place Farm Soil at your base and plant the seedlings in it.
Wait for the seedlings to grow. You’ll see plants begin to appear about 15 minutes after planting, and you can harvest them the same way as wild plants.

Each harvest adds Indigo Plant straight to the same inventory stack as your wild pickings. Feed some of each harvest back into the Seedbed for more seedlings, and the farm keeps supplying you.
