Bernhard’s Wrath is a pair of Legendary gauntlets hidden in the Hall of Mirrors, the maze-like area of Dracula’s Castle in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. You don’t find it in an ordinary chest. It sits on an altar in a district called Level Deviled, and that altar locks Rose into a wave-based fight. Win the fight and the gloves are yours.

Quick answer: Take the Main Hall mirror into the Hall of Mirrors and head west and down to Delived Level. Enter Level Deviled, use the altar, clear every enemy wave, then use the altar again.

Route to Delived Level from the Main Hall mirror

The route runs almost entirely leftward and downward. It passes through six named districts before you reach the room next to the altar. Heavy armored enemies show up along the way, but you can dash past most of them. Nothing on this path needs to be cleared before you continue.

The Hall of Mirrors map stays hidden until you finish the area, so it’s easier to clear the Hall of Mirrors first and come back for the gauntlets.

Once inside the Hall of Mirrors, open the map and mark Delived Level, located on the area’s left. The marker lets you check your direction whenever you move between rooms.

Continue downward, then leave through the exit on your left to reach Threshold of Vision. Sprint and dash through its corridors, slipping past the armored sentries. This district has a Mirror of Life, so you can save there before entering the arena.

Grab the Dusk Amulet in Delived Level on the way

Collecting the relic in Delived Level is quick. Move left past the enemies, then double-jump into the alcove at the room’s upper-left corner. Inside the chest is the Dusk Amulet. When Rose’s mana is no more than 15% of its maximum, her movement speed increases by 35%. Delived Level also contains the area’s Ferryman’s Wharf.

Level Deviled altar fight for Bernhard’s Wrath

Level Deviled is the red-lit chamber next to Delived Level, with a red altar on its raised platform. The gauntlets sit on that altar, and the fight starts when you use it. Restock your healing potions at a Mirror of Life before you go in.

Leave Delived Level through the exit that leads into Level Deviled. The district name appears on screen when you enter.
Climb to the upper platform and interact with the altar (RB on an Xbox controller, R1 on PlayStation). Enemies start spawning right away.
Controls settings menu listing keyboard and mouse bindings for movement, combat, spells and interaction in an ornate gold-trimmed frame.
The Controls settings tab shows the Keyboard and Mouse bindings, including Move, Jump, Dodge, Attack, Cast Spell, Arcane Whip, Holy Light, Interact, Heal, Map and Equipment.
Defeat every wave. Expect floating eyes, spectral flying swords, shielded knights, and heavier horned brutes. Use dash attacks to reach the airborne enemies, and back off whenever a knight starts swinging.
Once the last enemy falls, go back to the altar and interact with it again to claim the weapon.

A reward card for Bernhard’s Wrath, marked Legendary, appears with two options. You can hold the button to equip the gauntlets right away, or continue and equip them later from your gear. If that card appears, the pickup worked.

These gauntlets favor an aggressive approach: each hit you land raises their weapon damage, and a higher combo count restores Rose’s health. Keep your attacks flowing to maintain both damage and healing; if the combo breaks, you lose both benefits. An Uppercut ends the combo. Their lore says they belonged to a vampire lord who died long ago, and that the gloves retain their original owner’s vampiric power.

Hall of Mirrors districts on the Bernhard’s Wrath route

Several districts along the path have their own pickups and secrets. If you’re working toward Hall of Mirrors completion, these are worth noting as you pass through.

Across the whole area, the Hall of Mirrors has 158 completion items, five Mirrors of Life, and one boss, Succubus, in Belmont Manor. Bernhard’s Wrath and the Dusk Amulet both count toward the area’s nine item pickups. Grabbing both on this run takes two of those off your list.
