Star Wars Droid Tycoon’s version of Tatooine looks very different this week. The Fortnite island, built by FOAD and Blzn Studios with Epic Games and Lucasfilm, has started its Scourge Missions event. Black, oily corruption now covers the desert, the Sandcrawler has grown huge spikes, and the enemies in combat missions have turned dark, with glowing purple eyes. A countdown in the middle of the map points to a later phase called “Dawn of the Scourge.”
Quick answer: Scourge Missions are live in Star Wars Droid Tycoon (island code 7865-8305-9184). Load in and the corrupted terrain, the Sandcrawler, and the Dawn of the Scourge countdown are visible right away.
Scourge Missions in Star Wars Droid Tycoon are live now
FOAD announced on October 19th that Scourge missions are available. The event begins with a cutscene. A protocol terminal gets hoisted into the air, then a black, spiky ship appears with a shadowy figure lit in purple. The cutscene ends on the message “SCOURGE MISSIONS START NOW.”
Droid Tycoon launched on May 1st, 2026, as part of the Unleash the Force event. You run a droidsmith on Tatooine, buy blueprints from Jawas at the Sandcrawler, craft droids, and put them to work earning credits. The island follows a steady weekly rhythm of events, and its most recent patches were the Gonk-themed v1.34 updates in early and mid-October. The Scourge event is the first one that changes how the whole map looks. You can launch it from its official Fortnite island page.

The corruption doesn’t sit in one spot. It runs across the ground paths, the boulders, and the island’s biggest landmarks, and the same visual style shows up everywhere: thick black goo, sharp crystal-like spikes, and crackling purple energy.
| Location or object | Scourge change |
|---|---|
| Desert ground and paths | Coated in black goo |
| Rocks and boulders | Slime coating, purple electric arcs |
| Sandcrawler | Large black spikes, goo on the front ramp |
| Central event arena | Goo-covered, Dawn of the Scourge banner |
| Fishing salvage | Scourge-textured scrap model |
The rocks get the most dramatic treatment. Dark slime spreads over the stone, and purple electricity arcs across it, which makes the desert look like it’s actively being consumed instead of just painted over.

The Sandcrawler is where you buy blueprints, so it’s the landmark you’ll see most. Big black spikes now stick out of its hull, and goo drips down its front ramp. Droids still spawn there as usual, and the normal “spawned at the Sandcrawler” notices for Common and Rare droids keep appearing during the event. The fishing mini-game also has a Scourge touch. Collected scrap can show up as a corrupted version covered in the same black texture.
Scourge enemies in Droid Tycoon combat missions
Missions still start from the “CHOOSE MISSION” console in the hub, where each planet has its own timer and reward tier. Ryloth gives Gold rewards, Scarif gives Galactic rewards, and Chandrila gives Stellar rewards. The Kyber Protocol entry is also on the board, tied to the Kyber reward line.

The Scourge has reached two mission types on Tatooine. In each one, the familiar enemies now carry the corruption.
| Mission | Enemy | Scourge look |
|---|---|---|
| DEFEND TERMINALS | KX security droids | Black goo textures |
| ELIMINATE GUARDS | Stormtroopers | Black armor, purple eyes, energy arcs |
In Defend Terminals, KX droids covered in black goo go after the terminals you’re protecting. Eliminate Guards takes place inside an Imperial base, and the Stormtroopers there look even more changed. Their armor is blackened, their visors glow purple, and dark energy crackles around them. The changes are visual. Both missions keep their usual objective markers, and a “NICE JOB!” rewards screen appears when you finish.

Dawn of the Scourge countdown and Droidex status
The central event arena is where the Scourge looks heaviest. Goo covers the structure, a “DAWN OF THE SCOURGE” banner hangs above it, and a countdown clock sits below. On launch day, the clock read about five days and 10 hours, ticking down from 05:10:54.

FOAD hasn’t confirmed an official date or time for Dawn of the Scourge, or what it will add. The in-game clock is the only reliable reference, so check the arena itself for the time remaining.
The Droidex doesn’t have a Scourge entry yet. A collection at 726 of 730 shows the usual variant tabs (Default, Gold, Diamond, Rainbow, Beskar, Galactic, Stellar, and Kyber), with no new Scourge category on the main view. No Scourge droid variants have been confirmed so far.

For now, Scourge Missions work as a world-state event. The map, the Sandcrawler, fishing salvage, and two mission enemy types have all been reskinned with the corruption, while your crafting, rewards, and collection systems work the same as before. Anything beyond that depends on what arrives when the arena countdown runs out.
