Quick answer: At Daedalus Crossing’s summit, the chest sits on the upper gallery. Start at the Mechanic’s Ascent mirror, ride the cage lift upward, use the doorway on your right, then climb along the room’s right side. The relic makes Rose deal 25% more damage when she hits enemies from behind.

The chest is on the gallery floor at the room’s summit. Two green candelabra flank it beneath tall diamond-shaped windows, while a spiked gear shaft runs below it on the right. Our interactive map opens on the Vile Trinket on our map.

How to reach the Vile Trinket chest

Begin at the Mechanic’s Ascent Mirror of Life and travel right into the adjoining room; a red cage elevator is there. Enter the cage and use Interact (E) to ascend.

In the upper room, take the doorway on the right to reach Daedalus Crossing.
On Daedalus Crossing’s right side, locate the tall wooden beam before the big gears, then scale it with wall-jumps.
Near the beam’s upper end, leap right to land on the high gallery. Head to the chest and open it using Interact (E).

Opening the chest brings up the VILE TRINKET relic card, which confirms the pickup.

What the Vile Trinket does

The relic card lists one effect: “Rose deals 25% more damage when striking enemies from behind.” That makes it a damage boost tied to positioning, so it pays off when you can get around an enemy before attacking.

“This morbid curiosity was traded in the slums of Paris, hidden from lantern light and the law.”

You can equip it straight from the card with Hold to equip, or slot it in later from the Equipment screen. To see where it fits among the rest, check how the relics rank, or track down every relic location and all items in the Clock Tower.
