In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ, the Counting Room Vault key grants access to a main-floor door inside the Heavenly Luck Casino in Cheongun Village. The door sits in the casino’s back-of-house offices and leads to storage rooms and a vault room lined with safe-deposit boxes, caches and a safe. A weapons locker inside can hold a 3D printer recipe.
Quick answer: On the map, head to square F4 and enter the Heavenly Luck Casino. Make your way across the gaming floor to the staff offices, then unlock the dark wooden door beside the keypad and fingerprint reader with your key.
Counting Room Vault key details
In your inventory, the key shows up as COUNTING ROOM VAULT. Its item card lists the following:
- Rarity: EPIC
- Type: KEY
- Value: 100
- Description: “F4 – Unlocks the counting room’s vault on the main floor of the Heavenly Luck Casino within Cheongun Village.”
The description’s opening “F4” marks the map grid square, as on other DMZ keys. The casino story mission Operation Silent Ledger includes a Counting Room key among its rewards, making it one possible source.

Stash the key in a secure slot before deploying; that way, losing your backpack won’t cost you the key.

Besides the Operation Silent Ledger reward, the Counting Room Vault key can be found as ordinary loot in the field. One place it can drop is an INDUSTRIAL LOCKER inside the Rice Mill in Imjin Farmland.
The Rice Mill and the Heavenly Luck Casino (F4) are far apart, so plan an exfil route that passes Cheongun Village, or extract with the key and bring it back on a later deployment. This locker is one place the key can drop, not a fixed spawn.
How to reach the Heavenly Luck Casino counting room door
The door is on the casino’s main floor, in the office area behind the gaming floor. It is not in the basement parking.

When the key works, you get 300 XP with the message “DOOR UNLOCKED”, and the prompt changes to “OPEN DOOR”.
Counting room loot: storage rooms and vault
Beyond the door, pass through a dark storage room into a second one containing shelves and green lockers. A heavy grey metal vault door at the back of that room leads to the vault room. The table is one example of what the containers held:
| Room | Container | Contents |
|---|---|---|
| Dark storage room | Military bag | Ballistic Flight Logs, Smelling Salts x1, Armor Plate x1 |
| Dark storage room | Footlocker | Smelling Salts |
| Shelved storage room | Weapons locker | ZIP GUN RECIPE, HAN 86, Stim x1, Encrypted Archive |
| Shelved storage room | Floor | Disposable Parachute |
| Vault room | Caches | Nuclear Program Files, Encrypted Archive, Infantry Invasion Plans |
| Vault room | Safe | Gold Skull x1, cash (50) |
| Vault room | Another cache | M4 (UNCOMMON), cash |
| Vault room | Shelves | Ballistic Flight Logs |

Keep watch on the doorway as you loot; enemies may come in after you.

Zip Gun Recipe and valuables from the counting room
For crafters, the standout item is the recipe a weapons locker can hold. The ZIP GUN RECIPE is a 3D PRINTER RECIPE worth 5000, with the description “Exfil recipe to print this item at the 3D Printer.” Extract with it, and it becomes a recipe you can use at the 3D printer in your FOB.
Everything else marked VALUABLE is sold for cash at the FOB once you extract.
| Valuable | Rarity | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Ballistic Flight Logs | UNCOMMON | 1000 |
| Nuclear Program Files | RARE | 2000 |
| Encrypted Archive | RARE | 2000 |
| Infantry Invasion Plans | — | — |
| Gold Skull | — | — |
The Ballistic Flight Logs card spells out the process: “Can be extracted and sold in the FOB for cash.” The same applies to the intel files and the Gold Skull, so get out alive with them to cash in.
