In Enshrouded 1.0, Stillwater Bay is a harbor settlement along the Veilwater Basin shore. Return Beacons lie roughly 140 m north and 150 m east of the town marker. The coffee quest leads you there, and a silver chest on the eastern side contains the Captain’s Coat.
Quick answer: Stillwater Bay is on the Veilwater Basin coast, with Return Beacons about 140 m north and 150 m east. Elio’s quest “Coffee, The Greatest Good” sends you here for two coffee machines, all three coffee recipe notes are in the town, and the Captain’s Coat is in a silver chest about 80 m east of the marker.

Stillwater Bay on the Veilwater Basin map
The quest journal describes Stillwater Bay as “a town with a large harbor and nearby coffee plantations”. It sits right on the Veilwater Basin coastline, and both Return Beacons are a short walk from the center of the town. The Lighthouse has its own map marker, perched on higher ground to the south-west.
Stillwater Bay, its Return Beacons, the Lighthouse, the chests and every lore note are on our interactive Enshrouded map.
The area’s chests are level 43. Enemies around the town include:
- Fell Commanders
- Fell Shackled Banshees
- Fell Sporeheads
- Fell Critters
- Shroud Depthdwellers

Two coffee quests point here. One is about finding machines, the other about collecting recipes, and both pay out 200 XP.
“Coffee, The Greatest Good”

The reward is the Coffee Drum Roaster plus 200 XP.

The note “The Worst Has Occurred!”, about 50 m south-east of the town marker, reads: “We may have a spare machine in the attic, but the top levels of the tower need repairs, so it’s not safe to ascend.”
“The Alchemy Of Bean And Water”
This one asks for three coffee recipe notes, and all three are in Stillwater Bay. Reading a note unlocks that drink.
| Recipe note | Where (from the town marker) |
|---|---|
| Latte Recipe | About 15 m east |
| Sweet Mocha | About 70 m north-east |
| Black Coffee Recipe | About 80 m south-east |
Read all three and the quest closes, rewarding Black Coffee and 200 XP.

Captain’s Coat and Red Carpet Block chests
The Captain’s Coat is in a silver chest about 80 m east of the town marker. It’s a cosmetic. Item text: “This impressive coat is regal, lived-in, and vaguely… salty. It makes you feel as though you should be steering a ship to safety amidst a thundering storm!” Picking it up completes the journal set “Captain’s Coat” (Clothes – Veilwater Basin) by itself, worth 175 XP. The lore note “Wine And Seafoam”, about 110 m north-east of the marker, is the seamstress’s account of making the Captain’s new coat.

A second silver chest, about 180 m south-east of the marker and about 45 m higher, holds the Red Carpet Block. Its item text reads “Roll out the red carpet whenever you wish, and make your entrance in style.” Picking it up adds the block to your Workbench.

Stillwater Bay lore notes
Stillwater Bay and its Lighthouse hold notes from five collections. Distances are from the town marker.
| Lore note | Collection | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Harbor Log, Day 12 of Yearwake, 503 D.A.— Personal Notes | Enshrouded Shipment | About 15 m east |
| Harbor Log, Day 13 of Yearwake, 503 D.A.— Abandon Ship!! | Enshrouded Shipment | About 65 m north |
| It Taints The Water Red | Deaths In Stillwater Bay | About 60 m east |
| The Worst Has Occurred! | Out Of Coffee | About 50 m south-east |
| Wine And Seafoam | The Ol’ Captain’s Tales | About 110 m north-east |
| Day 27 Midyear, 504 D.A. | The Lighthousekeeper’s Diary | At the Lighthouse |
| Day 15 Yearwake, 506 D.A. | The Lighthousekeeper’s Diary | At the Lighthouse |
| Day 39 of Yearfall, 506 D.A. | The Lighthousekeeper’s Diary | About 340 m south-south-east |
The two harbor logs are the dockmaster’s notes on a sealed shipment. The first: “Crates bear no marks, no writs, no tally for the ledger… and they’re sealed shut.” The second: “The cases were not filled with grain or powder, but with some choking fog”. “It Taints The Water Red” reads: “More people go missing each eve… first, t’was only those who ventured past the bay.”
Only “Wine And Seafoam” from The Ol’ Captain’s Tales is in town; the other three notes in that collection are elsewhere in the Veilwater Basin. The Lighthousekeeper’s Diary has two pages at the Lighthouse; the third, “Day 39 of Yearfall, 506 D.A.”, is about 340 m south-south-east of the town marker. The first page opens: “Been a lighthouse keeper for ages. Born and raised on these shores, and proud of it, too.”
If you’re also running the Alchemist’s quest “A Glimpse Of Eternity”, its last tomb is close by. The journal places it with one line: “It’s near Stillwater Bay towards the foot of the hills.”
