Ink Cut arts
Ink Cut has six arts. One is the base art and one is a Tempering art. The other four unlock as you raise the Phantom Edge’s level, which is covered in the forge and weapon upgrade guide.
| Art | Unlocks | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Radiant Wheel | Base art | “Ending the [Phantom Edges] combo after the second attack leaves behind a spinning blade that continuously damages enemies. It detonates after 5 seconds.” |
| Twin Radiant Wheels | Tempering art | “While a [Radiant Wheel] is active, press [Phantom Edges] again to cast another. The additional [Radiant Wheel] cannot trigger [Twin Radiant Wheels] again. If both [Final Radiance] and [Twin Radiant Wheels] are unlocked, [Twin Radiant Wheels] takes priority.” |
| Final Radiance | Weapon level 5 | “While [Radiant Wheel] is active, press [Phantom Edges] at any time to perform the third strike and manually detonate [Radiant Wheel].” |
| Lingering Ink | Weapon level 10 | “Lv. 1: Slightly increases the duration of [Radiant Wheel] Lv. 2: Moderately increases the duration of [Radiant Wheel] Lv. 3: Greatly increases the duration of [Radiant Wheel]” |
| Ink-Forged Blade | Weapon level 15 | “The more damage [Radiant Wheel] deals while active, the greater the damage and Sha-Chi Depletion of the third strike performed by pressing [Phantom Edges]” |
| Ink Piercer | Weapon level 25 | “Press [Phantom Edges] with precise timing as [Radiant Wheel] automatically detonates to perform the third strike, triggering a powerful explosion.” |
What Ink Cut is good for
Radiant Wheel is the core of Ink Cut’s moveset. Finish the Phantom Edges combo after hit two to leave a spinning blade that continues hurting enemies, then explodes after 5 seconds. The Tempering art Twin Radiant Wheels lets you summon another wheel before the first expires.
At weapon level 5, Final Radiance lets you manually trigger the third strike whenever the wheel remains active. Ink Piercer, unlocked at level 25, rewards pressing Phantom Edges with precise timing as the wheel detonates on its own: the third strike then triggers a powerful explosion. Ink-Forged Blade scales the third strike’s damage and Sha-Chi Depletion according to the damage dealt by the wheel, connecting Ink Cut to broader ways to boost your damage in Phantom Blade Zero.
