Quick answer: Guardian Idol is found in Mandate Encampment, near the Training Grounds Depths bell, as a reward or pickup in the world. Destruction-type Phantom Edges cost 1 more Remnant Spark but deal 75% more damage.
Where to find Guardian Idol
- Region: Mandate Encampment
- Nearest bell: Training Grounds Depths
- How you get it: reward or pickup in the world
Bells work as fast travel and respawn points. Rest at the Training Grounds Depths bell before you go after the idol, so a death sends you back nearby.
Guardian Idol item card and effect
Guardian Idol is an “Offensive” accessory. Its effect line on the item card reads:
“Destruction-type Phantom Edges consume 1 additional Remnant Spark and deal 75% more damage.”
The description adds lore and has no gameplay effect:
“This guardian idol was once carried and worshipped by members of the Mandate. As the shadow of Sha-Chi Transcension fell over the Wulin and the martial way fell into decline, those same worshippers smashed it with their own hands before turning to kneel before the statue of the Lady of the Veil.”
How to polish Guardian Idol
You polish accessories at Jewel. Each polish raises the damage bonus while the extra Remnant Spark cost stays at 1.
| Polish | Damage bonus | Remnant Dust | Material |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base | 75% | None | None |
| Polish 1 | 100% | 24,480 | Tainted Crystal Shard |
| Polish 2 | 120% | 36,720 | Refined Indigo Crystal |
Polish 1
After the first polish, the effect reads “Destruction-type Phantom Edges consume 1 additional Remnant Spark and deal 100% more damage.” It costs 24,480 Remnant Dust plus a Tainted Crystal Shard. Quick Hand Zhang sells the shard for 7,440 Remnant Dust, and you can also look up where to find a Tainted Crystal Shard.
Polish 2
The second polish changes the effect to “Destruction-type Phantom Edges consume 1 additional Remnant Spark and deal 120% more damage.” It costs 36,720 Remnant Dust plus a Refined Indigo Crystal. Quick Hand Zhang sells the crystal for 9,920 Remnant Dust at his Village of Lu, Pangzhen, Meigu Lake and Mirage Estate hideouts, and a Refined Indigo Crystal can also be found in Mirrorwood Depths in the Crimson Forest.
What Guardian Idol is good for
Guardian Idol trades resources for damage. Every Destruction-type Phantom Edge costs 1 more Remnant Spark, and in return it hits 75% harder, rising to 100% and then 120% with polishing. That suits builds that lean on hard-hitting Destruction Phantom Edges. You can check which ones count in the weapons and Phantom Edges list, and read up on how to restore Remnant Spark to keep up with the higher cost.
You start with three accessory slots, leaving room for Guardian Idol and two more pieces. Consult the full accessories list for each option’s effect and location.
