Quick answer: Phantom Brew is in a chest in Meigu Lake, about 118 m from the Whiteshadow’s Fall bell. At Lv 1 it restores 50% HP and makes you Intangible for 1 second, so no attack can hit you.
Where to find Phantom Brew
Phantom Brew is a remedy, a healing item that goes into a medicine slot. It sits inside a chest in the Meigu Lake region of Phantom Blade Zero. The nearest bell is Whiteshadow’s Fall. The chest is about 118 m from that bell and about 42 m below it, measured in a straight line.
Make the Whiteshadow’s Fall bell your first stop before heading to the chest. Since bells serve as fast-travel and respawn points, resting there leaves you with a nearby return point. The Meigu Lake interactive map marks the chest’s precise location. To collect the region’s other finds as well, consult the complete Meigu Lake collectibles list.

Opening the chest adds Phantom Brew to your remedies. Its Lv 1 effect reads:
“Restores 50% HP and grants Intangible for 1 second. While Intangible, you cannot be hit by any attack.”
The item description reads:
“The illusionist who created this remedy was cast out by the Mandate. Uninterested in martial arts, he devoted himself to Esoteric Arts and medicine. From half an ancient manuscript, he learned that true Phantom Arts can blur illusion and reality, deceiving even the world around him.”

Phantom Brew upgrades and Remnant Dust costs
Upgrading Phantom Brew raises how much HP it restores, how long Intangible lasts, and how many uses you get. Each level costs Remnant Dust.
| Level | Effect | Uses | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lv 2 | “Restores 60% HP and grants Intangible for 1 second. While Intangible, you cannot be hit by any attack.” | 2 | 2,800 Remnant Dust |
| Lv 3 | “Restores 60% HP and grants Intangible for 2 seconds. While Intangible, you cannot be hit by any attack.” | 2 | 4,200 Remnant Dust |
| Lv 4 | “Restores 60% HP and grants Intangible for 2 seconds. While Intangible, you cannot be hit by any attack.” | 3 | 5,600 Remnant Dust |
| Lv 5 | “Restores 70% HP and grants Intangible for 2 seconds. While Intangible, you cannot be hit by any attack.” | 3 | 7,000 Remnant Dust |
| Lv 6 | “Restores 70% HP and grants Intangible for 3 seconds. While Intangible, you cannot be hit by any attack.” | 3 | 8,400 Remnant Dust |
| Lv 7 | “Restores 70% HP and grants Intangible for 3 seconds. While Intangible, you cannot be hit by any attack.” | 4 | 9,800 Remnant Dust |
Upgrading Phantom Brew from Lv 1 to Lv 7 requires 37,800 Remnant Dust altogether.
Medicine enhancement also calls for Healer’s Memory materials: Apprentice is required to reach Lv 2, Skilled covers Lv 2 through Lv 4, and Master is used from Lv 4 up to the maximum. Quick Hand Zhang has all three for sale. Xie Xiaorong, the healer in Pangzhen’s Green Serpent House, is the one who does the upgrades; how to upgrade medicine has the full cost of every level.
How to use Phantom Brew
You carry two remedies at once, one in each medicine slot. On PC, the default keys are R for Lower Medicine and T for Upper Medicine. The basics of slots and drinking are covered in how healing works.
While Intangible is active, no attack can hit you, so Phantom Brew is the remedy to save for moments when an enemy is still pressing the attack. The window is 1 second at Lv 1, grows to 2 seconds at Lv 3, and reaches 3 seconds at Lv 6.
