How to Get Universal Solvent in Phantom Blade Zero

Quick answer: Open the Scavenger Pens chest for eight Universal Solvent and the Mirage Estate storeroom chest for seven. Quick Hand Zhang has it available to purchase for 2,400 Remnant Dust.

What it does

Universal Solvent sits in the “Weapon Upgrade Materials” category. Its item card reads:

“All things in this world are bound by shared principles and a subtle harmony. Thus, craftsmen versed in arcane arts devised this solvent to fuse disparate materials into one, lending an even keener edge to weapons tempered through a hundred trials.”
“Universal material required to upgrade weapons from Lv. 20 to max level.”

You need it for every weapon upgrade past level 20, so it is worth collecting as many as you can.

Go to the Scavenger Pens bell, located at the base of the shaft in Crimson Manor.
