How the fight went in our run

In our run, his fighters did most of the damage to Soul in both attempts.

Tips for the Xie Qiudong fight

Rest at the Well of Wei Sanchuan bell first. In our run, a death returned Soul there.

Stay on the move to stop his fighters closing in around Soul, and look out for the ground-level root lash.

In our run, a red barrel in the yard burst into flames next to Soul and set him on fire, so stay clear of the barrels while fighting.

For timing against his swings, use the parry and dodge guide.

If the battle proves too difficult, use the System menu to adjust the difficulty. Confirm the “Apply changes to settings?” prompt to put the change into effect. The difficulty modes breakdown covers the options.

Leaving the yard and rewards

In our run, stepping into the well at the edge of the yard dropped Soul back down to the Well floor without any damage.

In our run, no reward card appeared after the fight.

Other boss fights and their rewards are in the list of all Phantom Blade Zero bosses, and the Grief-Stricken Jin boss fight is another encounter with a band of fighters at his side.
