Where is Blackfathom Deeps?
The entrance is on the northwestern coast of Ashenvale, north of Zoram’gar Outpost. Open the Ashenvale map and look at the top left corner, right by the shore. That is where the dungeon is.
The nearest flight path depends on your faction. The distances below are straight lines on the map, not walking routes.
- Horde: Zoram’gar Outpost is the closest flight path inside Ashenvale. The entrance lies north of it.
- Alliance: Stonetalon Peak in Stonetalon Mountains is the closest Alliance flight path. The entrance lies northeast of it.
Blackfathom Deeps level, group size and faction
The game recommends starting Blackfathom Deeps at level 22 and up. It is built for a group of 5 players.
The dungeon is in contested territory, so neither faction holds it. Dungeons are open to both factions anyway. Only a dungeon deep in the other faction’s land means a longer trip through hostile ground.
