Version v466, titled The Anubis Event – Part 1, became available in Grow a Garden, the Roblox gardening game, at 21:30 UTC on 7 November 2026. Its in-game update log begins, “Meet the Egyptian god of the dead, Anubis!” New additions include an hourly crop-mutating sandstorm, a new currency, a weight-based reward dig site, plus new seeds, gear, cosmetics and pets. Look in the screen’s top-left corner to verify that your game is running v466.

Quick answer: The Anubis Event – Part 1 update (v466) adds an hourly Anubis Sandstorm that gives plants the x3 Hieroglyphic mutation, Trader Tina’s Anubis Coin Shop, Archeologist Archie’s 20-find dig, the Anubis Egg and five new pets.

Where the Anubis event area is

Click “SELL” on the top bar to reach the market, then head west. A new patch of sand with palm trees and a small pyramid sits there. It holds two stops. The first is Trader Tina’s “Anubis Coin Shop” stall, which has a purple and yellow striped roof. Further west is the dig site run by Archeologist Archie.

A large sign hovering above the area displays the time remaining until the next weather event. Events begin at each hour’s start, according to UTC. The bottom-left corner also has a new Anubis Coin counter, represented by a gold coin bearing Anubis’ head. It appears directly above your Sheckles (¢).

Anubis Sandstorm weather and the Hieroglyphic mutation

The sandstorm returns hourly and lasts 10 minutes. When it begins, the game displays “A sandstorm sweeps across the garden!” During the event, crops in your garden can receive the new Hieroglyphic mutation. The Garden Guide lists Hieroglyphic’s fruit-value multiplier as x3.

Hieroglyphic fruit is what powers the event economy. You keep its higher sell value, or you trade it to Trader Tina for Anubis Coins.

Anubis Relics and the eight obelisks

On every second sandstorm, Anubis himself shows up. The relic event plays out in this order:

  • The game posts “Anubis has appeared! Charge his obelisks to awaken the [relic name]!”.
  • Eight obelisks fall, with the message “Obelisks have crashed down! Charge all 8 to awaken the [relic]!”.
  • Each obelisk displays “Charge every obelisk to awaken it! (x/8)” until completed, then its text changes to “Charged!”.
  • The server confirms each one with “An obelisk is charged! (x/8)”.
  • When the eighth obelisk is charged, the relic’s status becomes “Awakened!”.

An awakened relic can increase growth speed or selling value, or reduce ability cooldowns; its effect varies by relic.

How to get Anubis Coins from Trader Tina

Harvest at least one fruit with the Hieroglyphic mutation after a sandstorm. If you only want to trade a single fruit, hold it in your hand.
Walk up to Trader Tina at the striped stall and press E. Her menu lists #1 “Who are you?”, #2 “What do you have for sale?”, #3 “Submit held fruit”, #4 “Submit all Hieroglyphic fruits” and #5 “Nevermind”.

Trader Tina's options: "Who are you?", "What do you have for sale?", "Submit held fruit", "Submit all Hieroglyphic fruits" and "Nevermind"
Choose “Submit held fruit” to trade the fruit in your hand. To trade every Hieroglyphic fruit you carry at once, choose “Submit all Hieroglyphic fruits” instead.
Look at the Anubis Coin balance in the bottom-left corner, above your Sheckles. If the number has increased, the trade succeeded. Six Hieroglyphic Carrots, for example, return “Sold 6 Hieroglyphic fruits for 60 Anubis Coins!”, which works out to 10 Anubis Coins per carrot.

If you ask Tina who she is, she answers “I’m Trader Tina!” and then “Sell me your Hieroglyphic fruits for Anubis Coins.” Option #2 opens the Anubis Coin Shop.

Anubis Coin Shop items, prices and unlocks

The shop restocks every hour, and its header shows a “Restocks in” timer. Wraproot is available from the start. Every other card stays locked until you have completed a set number of Ancient Archeology excavations at Archie’s dig site. All prices are in Anubis Coins.

Ancient Archeology at Archeologist Archie’s dig site

Archie’s dig has 20 weight-based rewards, and each find needs more total weight than the one before. The thought bubble over Archie indicates the trait he wants at the moment, for example, “Looking for Root plants!” His request rotates on the hour and at the half hour UTC, every 30 minutes, with a timer showing how long until it changes. A nearby board labels the goal “Next Reward:” and tracks progress in kilograms. Its first target is “1x Anubis Crate” at “0kg/8kg”.

He can ask for any of 12 traits: Berry, Fruit, Flower, Vegetable, Tropical, Prickly, Woody, Leafy, Stalky, Root, Sweet and Sour.

How to submit plants to Archie

Read Archie’s thought bubble to find the trait he wants right now. Then harvest plants that have that trait.
Walk up to Archie and press E. His menu lists #1 “Who are you?”, #2 “Take this plant”, #3 “Submit All”, #4 “Skip Submission” and #5 “Nevermind”.

Archie's options: "Who are you?", "Take this plant", "Submit All", "Skip Submission" and "Nevermind"
Choose “Take this plant” to hand over the plant you are holding. Choose “Submit All” to hand over every matching plant at once. The plants are taken and leave your inventory.
Check the confirmation message and the progress bar. For example, submitting 8 Carrots (a Root plant, from 10¢ seeds) while Archie wants Root plants returns “Submitted 8 Root plants for +2.54kg! (2.54kg/8kg)” and fills the bar to “2.54kg/8kg”.

Once you reach a goal, the find is yours and it opens right away. Finds come as an Urn, Treasure Chest, Statue, Tomb or Sarcophagus. Each completed find also counts toward the Anubis Coin Shop unlocks. “Skip Submission” is a paid skip, and you don’t need it.

Anubis Egg and the new pets

The Anubis Egg is Mythical and takes 4 hours to hatch. You can buy it in the Anubis Coin Shop for 3,000 Anubis Coins after 6 excavations. Archie also gives it out as a reward for finds 5, 8, 12 and 19.

Apshait, the “Corpse Scarab”, now and then eats a fruit and may give it the Sandy or Pestilent mutation. It ignores favorited fruit.

Uraeus, “The Risen Asp”, works during the sandstorm. Whenever Hieroglyphic is applied to a fruit, Uraeus has a chance to apply it to another random fruit too, up to 3 times per weather event.

Bennu, called the “Bird of Creation”, feeds on Rot, Blight or Pestilent fruit. Feeding it may result in Gilded being applied, an egg hatching faster or a pet aging up.

Ancient Sphinx has two abilities. “Ancient Guardian” destroys 3 Rare or Legendary plants to push your plants’ growth forward by 12h and apply Mirage. “Ancient Protector” takes 3 age from your pets to refresh pet cooldowns and grant XP.

Hiero Scorpion costs 13,500 Anubis Coins after 15 excavations. Its “Hiero Sting” ability stings your lowest-level pet for XP. There is a small chance the sting gives that pet the Hiero Venom pet mutation, which is a large passive boost that drains XP from your other pets.

Everything in the event can be earned with plants, sandstorms and Anubis Coins. None of the following is required:

  • The purple Robux buttons in the shops
  • “Skip Submission” at Archeologist Archie
  • The “RESTOCK” buttons
  • The “Grow All” (375R$) and “Harvest All” (9R$) boards
  • The Pass button

For a free route through the event, grow plants that match Archie’s current trait. Let the hourly storm add Hieroglyphic to your crops, then trade those fruits to Tina. Every excavation you complete unlocks more of the Anubis Coin Shop.
