Sailor Piece Artifacts: How to Unlock, Farm, and Upgrade Every Set

Hit level 2,500, unlock drops on Snow Island, and equip the right sets to boost damage, crit, and survivability.

Hit level 2,500, unlock drops on Snow Island, and equip the right sets to boost damage, crit, and survivability.

Artifacts are armor-style stat boosters in Sailor Piece that raise damage, defense, crit chance, crit damage, lifesteal, and more. They live in a part of the inventory that is easy to overlook, but once you reach the mid-game they become one of the strongest ways to push through tougher bosses and Sea 2 content.

Quick answer: Reach Level 2,500 with 500,000 Money and 500 Gems, then talk to the Artifact Master NPC behind the igloo on Snow Island to enable artifact drops. After that, every mob and boss can drop set pieces.

How to unlock Artifacts in Sailor Piece

Artifacts do not drop until you turn the system on. You need to meet three requirements before the drops switch on.

  • Level 2,500
  • 500,000 Money
  • 500 Gems
Teleport to Snow Island and head toward the area with the Frost Rogue enemy mobs. The unlock NPC is tucked away near the igloo there.
Walk behind the igloo to find the Artifact Master NPC. Interact with him and pay the required Money and Gems to enable artifact drops for your account.

You can also flip drops on through the Artifacts tab inside the Inventory once the requirements are met. After unlocking, pieces start dropping from enemies, and you will pick up one item at a time from a set, such as a single Helmet from the Ashen Chronicles set.

All Sailor Piece artifact sets and where to farm them

Every mob, mini-boss, and World Boss can drop artifacts, but each set is tied to specific islands and enemies. Use the table below to target the set you want.

Artifact SetWhere to farm
Ashen ChroniclesMobs and mini-bosses on Jungle Island and Starter Island
Crownless RegaliaMobs and mini-bosses on Desert Island and Snow Island
Black HorizonMobs and mini-bosses on Shibuya Station and Hollow Island
Void ReaverShibuya Station bosses (Cursed Vessel, Limitless Sorcerer, Cursed King), Manipulator on Hollow Island, and Yamato on Judgement Island
Celestial RuptureMobs and bosses on Shinjuku Island, Slime Island, Academy Island, Soul Dominion, and Judgement Island
Abyssal CrownMobs on Ninja Island and Lawless Island
Sacred DominionMobs on Punch Island, Bizarre Island, Demon Slayer Island, and Blue Planet Island

World Bosses also carry a small chance to drop pieces from the island-based sets, so general boss farming can fill gaps in a set you are chasing.

Artifact main stats, sub stats, and set bonuses

Each set has four pieces: Helmet, Body, Gloves, and Boots. You can equip up to four artifacts at once, one of each type. Every piece gives one Main Stat tied to its slot.

Artifacts menu
PieceMain Stat
HelmetDefense or Flat Defense
BodyAny stat
GlovesDamage
BootsDamage, Defense, Flat Defense, or Damage Reduction

When you first obtain a piece, it only carries its Main Stat. Upgrading the piece rolls Sub Stats on top. A Main Stat cannot repeat as a Sub Stat on the same piece. So if Boots roll Damage as the Main Stat, Damage will not appear in that piece’s Sub Stats.

Sub StatRange
Crit Chance6% to 10.5%
Crit Damage11% to 18%
Damage4% to 9%
Defense8% to 15%
Flat Defense20,000 to 50,000
Damage Reduction2% to 4%
Lifesteal0.5% to 1.5%
HP Regen7.5% to 15%

Higher rarity pieces give bigger numbers. Common pieces sit at the bottom, while Legendary pieces deliver the highest values. There are four rarities in total: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary.

Set bonuses

Matching pieces from the same set trigger set effects. Two pieces activate the 2-piece bonus, and all four pieces activate the 4-piece bonus. Because the 2-piece bonus only needs two matching items, you can run a hybrid build with two pieces from one set and two from another to stack the stats you want.

Set2-piece bonus4-piece bonus
Ashen Chronicles+5% damage, +15% crit damage+7.5% damage reduction, +15% HP
Crownless Regalia+12% HP, +5% damage reduction+10% crit chance, +15% damage
Black Horizon+7.5% damage, +5% HP+10% crit chance, +20% crit damage
Void Reaver+6.5% damage, +1% lifesteal+12.5% crit chance, +15% crit damage
Celestial Rupture+15% damage, +12.5% crit damage+15% crit chance, +1.5% lifesteal
Abyssal Crown+1% lifesteal, +20% crit damage+12.5% crit chance, +20% damage
Sacred Dominion+15% HP, +20% damage+22.5% crit damage, +15% crit chance

Which artifact sets are worth farming

For late-game builds, Abyssal Crown and Sacred Dominion are the strongest options. Pick Abyssal Crown if you want to push crit chance and crit damage. Choose Sacred Dominion if you want extra HP and raw damage, especially when your race, Bloodline, or other items already supply lifesteal.

Celestial Rupture remains the best pick for flexible builds because it pushes lifesteal, crit damage, and damage at once, which helps in both PvP and grinding. If you are still working through Sea 1, Void Reaver and Black Horizon are solid mid-game targets, with Void Reaver edging ahead thanks to its +1% lifesteal for boss farming.

How to upgrade Artifacts with Dust

Upgrading rolls and improves Sub Stats on a piece. Each artifact can be upgraded 15 times, and taking one from Level 0 to the max Level 15 costs 287 Dust.

Open the Inventory and click the Artifacts button to open the artifact menu.
Select the piece you want to improve, then click the blue Upgrade button next to the Equip button.

Use the “+” sign under Use Dust to add the amount you want, then confirm with the Upgrade button. You can upgrade one piece at a time or batch up to 50 at once if you have enough Dust.

How to get Dust

Dust comes from one source only: deleting artifacts you do not need. Select a duplicate or low-rarity piece and click the trash button near the Equip option to convert it into Dust. Dust is non-tradeable and does not appear in your inventory. The only way to check your total is inside the Artifact Upgrade menu.

To clear out junk faster, use the Mass Options to delete several pieces at once, or set Auto Delete to scrap a chosen rarity the moment it drops. Legendary artifacts return the most Dust when sold, giving back 24 each. More broadly, selling a piece refunds about 33.8% of the Dust used to upgrade it, so a maxed Legendary that cost 287 Dust returns roughly 96 Dust.

Artifact Milestone rewards and higher rarity drops

The Artifact Milestone NPC stands right next to the Artifact Master on Snow Island. Every artifact you collect gives 1 Data Rank EXP toward your milestone progress, which runs from Level 0 to Level 40.

Climbing milestone levels does two things. It steadily raises your odds of higher-rarity drops, which matters because the system starts you with a 90% chance of Common pieces. It also pays out rewards at each level, including Race Rerolls, Trait Rerolls, Clan Rerolls, and Haki Color Rerolls. Open the Milestone menu, click any level you have passed, and claim the reward.

You will know the system is working when artifacts begin dropping from enemies after you pay the Artifact Master, when the Artifacts tab populates with set pieces in your inventory, and when an upgraded piece shows new Sub Stats and a higher level. From there, the routine is simple: farm the islands tied to your target set, delete duplicates for Dust, and upgrade your best four pieces toward Level 15.
