Bullit Location in Gothic 1 Remake (Old Camp and North Gate)

Find Bullit in the inner castle tavern by day and down by the river at night for the Bully for Bullit quest.

Find Bullit in the inner castle tavern by day and down by the river at night for the Bully for Bullit quest.

Bullit is an early NPC in Gothic 1 Remake who keeps two very different schedules. By day, he loiters inside the Old Camp’s inner castle, and by night, he wanders out drunk past the North Gate. Knowing which version of him you need decides where you should look.

Quick answer: During the day and early evening, find Bullit in the tavern inside the Old Camp’s inner castle. After midnight, leave through the North Gate, stay on the right-hand riverbank instead of crossing the bridge, and you will find him standing in the water about 30 meters downstream.

Bullit in the Old Camp inner castle tavern

Most of the time, Bullit hangs around the tavern with the other guards. The tavern sits just inside the castle on the left side as you come through the main gate, across from Gomez’s building. Walk in during daytime or early evening, and he is usually sitting or standing there with a mug in hand.

You cannot reach this area until you have access to the inner castle. That access comes from bribing Thorus with 1000 Ore Nuggets, or from getting Diego’s approval during the Admission to the Old Camp questline.

Note: Confronting Bullit in the tavern is risky. If you start a fight there, the surrounding guards jump in to defend him, which makes the daytime spot a poor place to settle things one-on-one.

Bullit at the North Gate river at night

If you are working on the “Bully for Bullit” quest, his nighttime route is what matters. Around late evening through to after midnight, Bullit leaves the barracks, meanders for a bit, then sets off through the North Gate on his own.

Wait until late at night, roughly midnight, inside or near the Old Camp. Bullit only begins his walk during this window, so showing up earlier will leave him back in the tavern.
Head out through the North Gate and stay on the right side. Do not cross the bridge. Follow the path toward the river on the right-hand side of the bridge instead.
Move about 30 meters down the riverbank. You will find Bullit standing in the water, already drunk and holding liquor, with no other guards nearby to interfere.

This isolated river spot is the cleanest place to confront him. Whether you are completing the quest or simply paying him back for the beating at the start of the game, the lack of backup makes the fight far easier than the tavern.

Bully for Bullit quest and rewards

Syra, the cook in the inner castle kitchen, gives the “Bully for Bullit” quest. She complains that Bullit harasses her and asks you to take care of him, though killing him is not required. Knocking him out is enough.

Catch him by the river at night, knock him out, and loot his body for a Battlesword and some Ore Nuggets. Return to Syra in the castle afterward and tell her Bullit will not bother her anymore. She rewards you with XP, and clearing this can also help unlock her cooperation later.
