The Godly Glamor Star Path in Disney Dreamlight Valley hands out weekly duties with deliberately vague wording, and the “take a photo of a true hero’s house” task is one of the trickier ones to decode. The catch is not the photography. It is figuring out which villager counts as the “true hero.” That answer is Hercules, and his home is the only building the game will accept for this duty.
Quick answer: Place Hercules’ home anywhere in your valley, equip your Phone from the Royal Tool wheel, and snap one photo that clearly shows the building. The duty completes instantly and rewards 50 Tokens.
What “a true hero’s house” means in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Almost every main character in the valley is a hero in their own story, which is exactly why this duty feels confusing. The Star Path only counts one specific home, though, so general reasoning will not work here. The duty is pointing at Hercules, the villager most directly defined by being a hero.
Phil also lives in this house once you unlock both characters, but the duty is written around Hercules specifically. No other villager’s home will register as a completion, so do not waste photos on similar-looking buildings.
Requirements before you can complete the duty
You can receive this duty in the Star Path event even if Hercules is not in your valley yet, so the first job is recruiting him. Hercules and Phil both arrived with the A Hero’s Journey update, which introduced the Hercules Realm, Phil’s training island, and a chain of heroic trials.

If it does not register, the usual cause is the building. Make sure the structure in your shot is Hercules’ home and that the exterior is clearly in frame, not partly hidden behind trees or other decor. Using any other villager’s house will not trigger the completion.
This duty is one of the faster sources of Tokens in the Godly Glamor Star Path, so it is worth clearing early. You will still need plenty more to buy the headline rewards, including the Mythical Cloud Glider, the Pink Baby Pegasus companion, Hercules’ Divine Glow Dream Style, and the Olympian Cloud Mansion House Style.
