Chapter 2 of Cheese Escape drops you into a much larger Emmental Cheese Maze, with seven cheeses to collect instead of four, more lock rooms, and a faster rat that no longer leaves you a safe zone to breathe in. The flow is still the same idea as the first stage. You gather cheese, open locked rooms, and find the exit, but the layout punishes anyone who tries to wing it. Knowing where each cheese hides and the order the rooms unlock is the difference between a clean run and getting cornered.
Quick answer: The keypad room password is 129734. Reach it through the portal inside the red lock room, enter the six digits on the keypad beside the iron door, and grab the cheese inside.

Leaving the Stage 2 spawn
The spawn area is more tangled than the one in Stage 1, but the exit route is fixed. There is also no safe area in this chapter, so the rat can follow you right back into the start. Do not treat spawn as a rest stop.

The four lock rooms
This stage has four lock rooms, each opened by a matching colored key. They hold cheese, buttons, jump challenges, and portals that lead deeper into the secret stages. Here is what waits behind each one.
| Lock room | Location | What’s inside |
|---|---|---|
| Yellow | Just left of the walled room | A wooden plank room |
| Green | Far right of the secret passage ventilation zone | A portal that starts the boss fight the moment you step in |
| Blue | Within the maze | A jump map with a button at the end that opens the walled cheese room at spawn |
| Red | An A-shaped corridor in the maze, one cheese in front | A portal to the keypad room |
Note: The green lock room gives no warning before the boss fight begins. Only take its portal when you are ready to run.

The keypad room and the 129734 code
Step into the portal inside the red lock room and you are teleported to the keypad room. The first time you arrive, the screen suddenly turns red, and rats appear. This is a scare, not a death, so you can keep going through it.
At the front of the room is a locked iron door with a keypad next to it. Punch in 129734 to open it. The cheese is inside. A separate portal here sends you back toward the secret room.
Walled rooms and the 30-second window
Two rooms in this stage are blocked off by walls, and both depend on buttons you trigger elsewhere. One sits at the spawn point, the other is hidden in the maze.
The walled room at spawn sits right along the L-shaped hallway, so it is easy to spot. To open it, clear the jump map inside the blue lock room and press the button at the end. Inside, you will find a piece of cheese plus another button that opens the walled room down in the cheese maze. Important catch here. This spawn room only opens for the player who pressed the button. If someone else triggers it, you will see the wall move but hit an invisible barrier when you try to walk in.
The walled room inside the maze holds one cheese. You can reach its area by taking the narrow path to the right of the yellow lock room, or by dropping from the wooden plank room. Pressing the button in the spawn room opens this wall for 30 seconds, then it closes again. Move fast. Unlike the spawn room, this one has a bug that lets you enter even when another player pressed the button.

Finding the yellow and green keys
The keys for the lock rooms live in the secret stages reached through the spawn window. Take the secret passage portal and you are teleported to the room visible beyond the spawn window. That room holds a cheese and the yellow key. The first time you go to its portal, watch for the gap that suddenly flashes red.
The green key sits in the Broken Road area, directly across from the yellow room. Grab both keys before committing to the lock rooms so you are not backtracking through the maze with the rat closing in.
Surviving the boss room and the faster rat
The boss fight triggers the instant you take the portal in the green lock room, with no warning. As soon as you load in, sprint away from the rats chasing you from behind and weave around the obstacles in your path.
Out in the maze, the rat moves much faster than it did in the first stage, so outrunning it in a straight line rarely works. When it spots you, duck into a narrow path and let it pass instead of trying to sprint to safety. Once you have all seven cheeses and both keys cleared, the maze opens up to its exit, and the chapter is done.
