How campfires heal you in each mode
A campfire heals you and anyone standing inside its radius for as long as the flames are burning. How much you get back depends on whether you are in Zero Build or regular Battle Royale, since the two modes treat the fire differently.

Note: Do not stand at a fire longer than you need to. You are an easy target while you heal, and that risk is higher if you are carrying one of the rarer Sprites.
Using campfires for Sprite XP
Campfires do more than restore health. Interacting with one grants XP, and it also feeds XP to your Sprite. That extra Sprite XP gain is boosted on Mastery Mondays, so lighting fires along your route becomes a fast way to level a Sprite while you play.
Campfires first arrived back in Chapter 1 Season 2 as a placeable trap item. They still rotate in and out of the loot pool as Cozy Campfires, but most of what you will use this season are the fixed environmental fires marked on the map above.
Because every spot is fixed, the smartest play is to treat the densest pockets as anchor points. Dropping near Golden Grove or Sunken Shores puts several fires within easy reach, while the western Battlewoods and Calamari Canyon stretches give you a chain of fires to lean on as the storm pushes you toward the center of the island.
