How to Survive the Stalker in Animal Hospital (Roblox)

The Stalker drains sanity the moment you make eye contact, so the only counter is refusing to look at it.

The Stalker is one of the roaming enemies in Animal Hospital, the co-op horror game on Roblox where you work the night shift at a veterinary clinic. It is a tall, black figure that lurks around corners of the hallways and drains your sanity if you look straight at it. Unlike a skinwalker at the front desk, you cannot taser or shoot it, so surviving comes down to controlling where your camera points.

Quick answer: When the Stalker appears around a corner, keep your camera turned away and never look directly at it. Walk past normally without making eye contact, and it will not deal sanity damage.

Where the Stalker appears and how it behaves

The Stalker spawns at random and positions itself around corners in the clinic. You will usually catch it at the edge of your vision as you move between rooms or head back to the reception desk. It does not chase you across the map or attack patients the way a skinwalker does, and it does not block the shutters like a Wall Banger. Its entire threat is tied to one trigger.

That trigger is direct eye contact. The moment your camera lands squarely on the Stalker, your sanity starts dropping. Because sanity reaching zero ends your run, an unnoticed Stalker on a long shift can quietly undo an otherwise clean performance.

How to pass the Stalker without losing sanity

Scan corners from a distance as you walk. If you spot the tall black silhouette early, you have time to react before it fills your screen.

Turn your camera away from the Stalker and keep it pointed at the floor, a wall, or your intended path. Treat it the same way you would ignore the ceiling entity in a Don’t Look Up moment.
Continue moving to your destination as normal. You can still walk, treat patients, and reach the next room while avoiding eye contact, so there is no need to stop or backtrack.

Note: Weapons do not help here. Tasers and guns only work on skinwalkers, so trying to fight the Stalker wastes time and leaves you exposed. Avoidance is the only reliable option.

Stalker vs. other Animal Hospital enemies

It is easy to confuse the Stalker with other hallway threats, but each one has a different counter. Knowing which is which stops you from reaching for a weapon that will not work.

How to know you handled it correctly

You know the Stalker is dealt with when your sanity meter stops dropping and you move past its corner without any damage tick. Since it does not linger or pursue you, simply reaching the next room with your camera averted confirms you avoided it. If your sanity does take a hit, that means your camera crossed it directly, and you should recover with Coffee or food from the shop between shifts to keep your meter above the danger zone.

On later shifts where environmental hazards stack up, splitting duties in co-op makes the Stalker far less punishing. One player watching the halls and cameras while another works the desk means fewer surprise corners and more sanity kept in reserve for the rest of the night.
