The final round of the Minecraft Movie Build Challenge is now in the hands of players. A jury at Mojang narrowed thousands of entries down to three finalists, and only one of them will earn a spot inside A Minecraft Movie: Squared. Voting runs inside Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, and each account gets exactly one vote.
Quick answer: Launch Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, open the Servers tab, join the Minecraft Movie Voting Event, walk to a polling booth, press the interact button (right-click on PC), and confirm your pick before July 6 at 11:59 PM PT. Your vote is locked once submitted.
The three finalist builds you can vote for
Every entry started from the same constraints. Builders worked inside a 16x16x32 block space using a fixed set of blocks and mobs, and each structure had to fit one of four biomes: plains, taiga, badlands, or frozen ocean. The three finalists each took a very different direction with that canvas.
| Build | Creator | Style |
|---|---|---|
| Lightning Rod Lighthouse | Francisco C. B. | Coastal tower design |
| Copper Badlands Castle | Rosanna C. | Copper-heavy fantasy castle |
| Tree Village | Ben V. | Elevated treehouse settlement |

There is no ranked list to fill out and no scoring system to weigh. You simply choose the one structure you most want to see appear in the film, keeping in mind that Warner Bros. decides where the winning build lands, which could be in the movie itself or in the end credits.

The voting event is a live in-game experience, so a few requirements have to be met before it will load for you.
- Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, updated to the latest client.
- A valid Microsoft account.
- An active internet connection.
- The platform-specific online subscription your device requires for multiplayer and live events.
Note: If the event does not appear in your server list, update the game first. Older Bedrock clients cannot connect to the live event.
How to cast your vote in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition

Once the confirmation appears, your choice is recorded. You get only one vote per account, so there is no way to switch after you submit. There is no wrong pick here, and no penalty for the build you leave out.
Voting deadline and when the winner is announced
The voting window closes on July 6 at 11:59 PM PT. After it ends, the results are tallied and the winning build is revealed on July 10 across Minecraft’s official social channels, including X, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
| Milestone | Date |
|---|---|
| Voting closes | July 6, 11:59 PM PT |
| Winner announced | July 10 (official social channels) |
The finalists already have their rewards locked in. Each of the three receives a private screening of A Minecraft Movie: Squared along with movie tickets, and the overall winner also gets their build placed in the film or its end credits, with Warner Bros. deciding the final placement.
How the Build Challenge led to this vote
The vote is the last stage of the Minecraft Movie Build Challenge, which opened on May 30, 2026 alongside the reveal of the sequel’s title during Minecraft Live. Entries were submitted through gleam.io, and submissions closed on June 8. Two internal judging phases followed before the community round began.
Every builder worked from the same downloadable map and the same block palette, which is why the three finalists feel like a fair comparison rather than a contest of who had the biggest world. That shared canvas is the reason a single vote carries real weight, and it comes down to which structure you most want to see on screen when A Minecraft Movie: Squared reaches theaters on July 23, 2027.
