Fruit Trees are the hands-on income source scattered around your tycoon in Sell Lemons. You pick fruit by clicking it, each pick pays out based on your current income rate, and the fruit vanishes from the tree once collected. Two numbers drive everything here, and both scale directly with how much money your operation already makes per second.
Quick answer: A normal fruit pays 0.5 × Expert Picker Multi × Income Per Second, and a Shining Fruit pays 5 × Expert Picker Multi × Income Per Second. Raising your income per second and maxing the Expert Picker Power increases both payouts.
Fruit Tree payout formulas
Every pick is tied to your Income Per Second. That means the same tree pays more as your tycoon grows, without you touching the trees at all. Shining Fruit is the big prize because it multiplies the base value by ten compared to a normal fruit.

The Expert Picker multiplier (up to x8)
The Expert Picker Power is the multiplier that sits inside both formulas. Buying and upgrading it raises the cash you earn from Fruit Trees by up to x8. Since it applies to normal fruit and Shining Fruit alike, upgrading it is the single most direct way to make each click count for more.
Note: The Friend Bonus does not apply to Fruit Trees. Having friends in your server changes nothing about the cash a pick gives you here, so don’t count on it to boost tree income.
Shining Fruit and how to spot it
Shining Fruit is the same mechanic as a normal pick, only worth ten times more thanks to the 5× base factor instead of 0.5×. When you pick a Shiny Fruit, a short melody plays that sounds like the one tied to Ascension, so you get an audio cue confirming the higher-value pick landed.
How Evolution changes your trees
Fruit Trees start out growing Lemons. At Evolution 0, the starting state, the trees are yellow and lemon-themed. Once you reach Evolution 1, they shift appearance to match your current Evolution Fruit and turn orange-themed. Each further Evolution updates the look again to fit the new fruit.
The appearance is purely cosmetic. A yellow lemon tree and an orange tree pay exactly the same cash, so evolving does not change the payout formulas on its own.
Picking fruit on other players’ tycoons
Fruit Trees are shared when you visit someone else’s tycoon. If you pick fruit there, that fruit disappears for the other players too, not just for you. Keep this in mind in a busy server, since anyone can clear a tree before you reach it.
To confirm a pick worked, watch for the fruit vanishing from the tree and your Cash total ticking up by the formula amount. If you picked a Shining Fruit, the Ascension-style melody plays alongside the larger payout. If nothing changes, the fruit was already collected, either by you or by another player on the same tycoon.
