Palworld’s 1.0 update turns the Paldeck into a much bigger book. The release adds 72 new Pals in total, split between brand-new species and elemental variant forms of familiar creatures. Most of them live in the two new regions that arrived with the update, so filling out this part of the Paldeck means heading somewhere new.

Twenty-five of the new entries are variant forms of existing Pals, marked by a suffix such as Ignis, Cryst, Noct, Primo, Lux, Terra, or Botan. Each behaves as its own Paldeck entry, so catching the base Pal does not fill in the variant.

Where the new Pals live
Two new areas hold most of the fresh roster. Sunreach is a set of islands floating above Palpagos, held up by Paldium, with its own civilization, tower bosses, and ores that need specialized equipment to mine. The World Tree towers over Palpagos and gates the game’s toughest challenge, including a colossal legendary Pal.
The Wildlife Sanctuaries have also been reworked into protected conservation zones. Each of the three sanctuaries has its own scenery, rare materials, powerful bosses, and Pals found nowhere else. Defense drones and searchlights patrol them, so you can either sneak past or fight your way in.
Pal spawns across the older map were rebalanced to feel more natural for each region, and predator Pals no longer sit at fixed spots. They now appear at a low rate across the whole map. The player level cap was also raised from 65 to 80, giving you room to keep growing while you hunt the new species.
Notable new Pals and what they do
Several of the new species stand out for their roles rather than just their looks. Leafan is a close-range Grass fighter that battles alongside you. Solmora is a large Water mount with a corkscrew tail that acts like a propeller, letting it cross oceans at high speed. Skutlass is a Water Pal that can be pulled out and swung like a cutlass, and it doubles as a strong Lumbering worker.

How to make the new Pals stronger
Two new systems let you push these Pals past their normal limits. Awakening lets you strengthen a Pal using Radiant Gems, which are hidden deep inside the World Tree. Gather the gems and use them on a Pal to unlock its true power.
Mutation works through breeding. There is a low chance that a bred egg turns out mutated, and Pals born this way have higher stats plus a unique passive skill. New cakes shift the odds in your favor.

Confirming your progress
Each capture registers as its own Paldeck entry, so the fastest way to check your progress is to open the Paldeck and look for filled slots. Variant forms sit apart from their base species, which means a completed base Pal will still leave its Ignis, Cryst, or other variant blank until you catch that exact form. Reaching Sunreach and the World Tree requires clearing certain quests carried over from earlier progression, so if a region’s Pals are missing from your list, that gate is usually the reason.
Palworld 1.0 went live on July 10, 2026, and every one of these Pals is present in the game now. With the roster spread across floating islands, sanctuaries, and the World Tree, expect to travel far and wide before the Paldeck reads 100 percent.
