Winning a fight in Catch a Brainrot is only half the job. To actually add a creature to your collection, you need a Rotbox, the only item that can capture and hold a brainrot after you weaken it in battle. Picking the right box for your level raises your catch chance and cuts down on the number of failed attempts.
Quick answer: There are eight purchasable Rotboxes. Buy the highest one your level unlocks, or use the Exclusive Infinity Box for a guaranteed catch on any brainrot regardless of its health.
Every Rotbox, unlock level, and price
Each box unlocks as you level up and is tuned for a specific range of brainrot levels. Buying above your current progress rarely helps, since the boxes are priced and gated to match the zone you are working through. The table below lists all eight in the order they become available.
| Rotbox | Unlock | Price | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Rot Box | None | 15 Robux / 31 Coins | Catches Brainrots up to Level 9 |
![]() Silver Box | Level 3 | 45 Robux / 197 Coins | Catches Brainrots up to Level 15 |
![]() Gold Box | Level 6 | 90 Robux / 401 Coins | Catches Brainrots up to Level 22 |
| Snowbox | Level 9 | 681 Coins | Starter stage of the Ice Zone |
| Snowman Box | Level 13 | 70 Robux / 1.14K Coins | Mid stage of the Ice Zone |
| Miner Box | Level 17 | 110 Robux / 1.68K Coins | Mid-late stage of the Ice Zone |
| Frozen Box | Level 20 | 140 Robux / 2.25K Coins | Late stage of the Ice Zone |
![]() Exclusive Infinity Box | None | 380 Robux (each) | 100% catch rate on any Brainrot |
Most boxes can be paid for with either Robux or in-game Coins, so you can grind currency instead of spending real money. The Snowbox is the exception and is sold for Coins only, while the Exclusive Infinity Box is Robux only.

The first three boxes carry you through the Grass Zone. Rot Box handles the earliest creatures, Silver Box covers the middle of the region, and Gold Box reaches the tougher Level 22 brainrots near the end.
The five Ice Zone boxes step up from there. Snowbox suits the opening area, Snowman Box and Miner Box handle the middle, and Frozen Box is built for the late-game creatures. Because the game separates brainrots by region, a box priced for one zone is not much help in the other.
The Exclusive Infinity Box sits outside this progression. It guarantees a catch on any brainrot no matter how much health the target has left, which makes it the strongest option in the game and useful for locking down rare creatures you cannot afford to lose.
When you start the game you also receive a special Rotbox with a greenish glow. Its exact function is not yet clear, and it becomes relevant closer to the endgame rather than during early catching.
How to buy a Rotbox
Rotboxes are sold at the Rot Center, a building in the main hub of each zone. Both the Grass Zone and the Ice Zone have one, and the buying process is identical in each.

You can stretch every box further by weakening a brainrot before you throw it. Learning each creature’s abilities lets you drop its health low enough that even a cheaper box lands the catch, keeping your Rotbox spending to a minimum while you build out your team.
