Exotic Sea Shells is a Rare trinket in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced that raises the number of Wildlife Products you pick up whenever you skin an animal. It sits inside a treasure chest in Havana, one of the earliest locations you reach, so you can claim it during your first proper stop in the city.
Quick answer: Travel to the southeast part of Havana, go to map coordinates 213, 568, and open the treasure chest there to collect Exotic Sea Shells. No lockpick or special tool is needed.
What Exotic Sea Shells does
Skinning an animal normally hands you a single item, such as one Ocelot Pelt. With Exotic Sea Shells equipped, every skinning yields more Wildlife Products from the same kill, so an Ocelot gives you two pelts instead of one. The effect applies to every creature, which means you hunt roughly half as many rare animals to reach the same crafting totals.
Those Wildlife Products feed directly into Edward’s personal equipment upgrades. Health boosts, ammo pouches, pistol holsters, and dart pouches all draw on animal hides, bones, and pelts, so cutting down your hunting time compounds across a full playthrough.

How to equip the trinket
The trinket stays in your inventory until you slot it, and the perk only works while it is equipped. Open the character menu, move to the inventory screen, and place Exotic Sea Shells into Trinket Slot A or Trinket Slot B. You can run two trinkets at once, so this one can pair with any other trinket without giving anything up.
Once it is equipped, the passive effect activates right away. You will know it is working the next time you skin an animal and collect more than one product from a single kill.
Why to grab it early
Wildlife Products stay in demand across the whole campaign, and the animals you need get rarer the deeper you go. Equipping Exotic Sea Shells from your first Havana visit means every hunting session pulls in extra materials, and that head start builds up over dozens of hours. Trinkets are a new system in Resynced that did not exist in the 2013 release, and for a completionist run this one is close to essential.
