The Crazy Cat Lady sits in the Underground Music Venue, surrounded by cats, and she trades rewards for fish. Instead of naming what she wants, she speaks in riddles, and each riddle points to one specific mutated fish. Hand over the right catch and the quest advances. Hand over the wrong one and nothing happens.

Where to find the Crazy Cat Lady in Fisch
Head to the Underground Music Venue. The Crazy Cat Lady is the NPC with cats on her head and shoulders. Talk to her to open the Kitten Kerfuffle questline, which runs across three parts. Each part contains five riddles, and every riddle is solved by delivering the fish it describes.

How to raise mutation odds for each fish
Every answer is a mutated variant, so a plain catch will not count. You need the correct mutation on the correct base fish. The fastest way to force a mutation is to fish with the gear or condition that boosts it most. These are the strongest boosters for the mutation types the riddles ask for.

Note: the Skrunkly boost comes from Nico’s Yarncaster, which is the Part 2 reward. That means the Skrunkly Aurora Trout in Part 3 is far easier to land once you have already cleared Part 2. Doing the parts in order pays off.
How to confirm a riddle is solved
Bring the required fish in your inventory and interact with the Crazy Cat Lady. When you submit the matching fish, the current riddle clears and she moves on to the next one. After the fifth riddle in a part, the reward is granted and the following part opens.
If a riddle will not clear, the usual reason is the fish is close but not exact. A base Celestial Koi will not satisfy a riddle asking for the Shiny Celestial Koi, and an ordinary Void Angler will not stand in for the Electric Void Angler. Match both the species and the mutation named in the table before you submit.
