For the first time in a Combat Evolved campaign, you can reskin the Chief and his weapons, and there is a decent spread of looks to chase. There are 13 armor styles and skins at launch. Styles are recolors and patterns applied to the base Mark V, while skins swap the whole model. Nothing here costs in-game currency, so every look ties back to a default grant, a code, a promo, or the edition you bought.

One more look shows up in play but is not a customization unlock. The Mark IV armor appears only during the Bonus Missions and cannot be equipped through the menu, so treat it as a scripted appearance rather than something to collect.
Free skins you already have (or will get soon)
Mark V and Silver Anniversary sit in your customization menu from the first boot, no action needed. Mark V is the classic green style, and Silver Anniversary is a clean quarter-century commemorative style available to everyone.
The 25th Anniversary style is also free, arriving for all players from July 29. If it is not showing in your locker right away, it should appear on that date without any code or purchase.
Redeem the Sandstone Ancient code
Sandstone Ancient is free for everyone, but unlike the default styles it takes one step. You claim it with a public code through your Halo account rather than earning it in the campaign.

Two styles are only available for a matter of days, and neither is confirmed to return once its window closes. Handle the Fanta one first, since it has the tighter deadline.
The Fantastic Spartan style comes from an Xbox and Fanta collaboration. You play a short Fanta minigame on a mobile device, and the promotion hands you a code to redeem. The promo closes July 30.
Stream of the Crop runs on a slightly longer clock and closes Aug 4. It unlocks through Twitch Drops instead of a code, so you need your Twitch account linked to your Halo account and a qualifying Halo: Campaign Evolved stream open while you watch. The drop credits to your linked account, and the style then shows in your armor list.
Pre-order and edition-locked armor packs
The remaining looks are tied to what you paid for, not to anything you do in the campaign. They split into two bundles.
The Foundry Armory Pack ships with any pre-order edition. It includes the Mark V Flawless Cowboy skin, a low-poly homage to the original 2001 Chief, and the Gilded Onyx style, a black-and-gold Forerunner-inspired look. Both carry matching Assault Rifle skins, and both unlock at launch.
The Alpha Halo Armory Pack sits one tier up and is reserved for Premium and Collector’s Edition owners, or anyone who upgrades to one of those later. It bundles five armor skins with matching weapon skins:

The pack also includes a sixth weapon skin, Cold Iron, a nod to Captain Keyes’ personal sidearm that applies to the Magnum. If you own the Standard Edition and want these, the Premium Edition upgrade adds the full Alpha Halo Armory Pack.
How to equip a skin and confirm it worked
All styles and skins live in the customization menu. Open the Armor category, scroll to the look you want, and confirm to equip it. Your choice carries through campaign gameplay, and if you play across Xbox, PC, and PlayStation, cross-progression should keep the same loadout following you between platforms.
Note: custom armor styles are not rendered during in-engine cutscenes, so the Chief may revert to his default look during cinematic moments even when your chosen skin shows up in normal play. That is expected behavior, not a sign your unlock failed.
If a code or drop does not appear, the usual causes are a mistyped code, an unlinked Twitch account, or a promo window that has already closed. The free default styles and the edition packs unlock at launch and require no code at all.
