The Version 3.1 downtime ran about five hours across every server, with 300 Polychrome sent as compensation afterward.

Zenless Zone Zero took its servers offline to prepare for Version 3.1, the game’s second-anniversary update that brings the S-Rank agent Remielle Dan and a new lineup of banners, events, and reruns. The downtime followed the standard pattern for a major patch, running roughly five hours before the update went live worldwide.

Quick answer: Version 3.1 maintenance ran for about five hours, from July 28, 2026 at 10:00 PM UTC to July 29, 2026 at 3:00 AM UTC. Servers are back online, and eligible players can claim 300 Polychrome from their in-game Mail.

3.1 maintenance start and end times by time zone

The maintenance began at a single fixed moment across all servers, so the local start time depends only on your region. For most of the Americas it landed on the evening of July 28, while Europe and Asia crossed into the early hours or morning of July 29. The window covered both the start and the return of service.

How long the downtime lasted

The scheduled length was five hours, matching HoYoverse’s usual major-patch window. Server maintenance can wrap up ahead of the posted end time, so it is worth trying to log in a little early once the window is close to finishing. If the client refuses the connection, wait a few minutes and retry rather than reinstalling.

Note: You must download and install the Version 3.1 update before you can log back in. Open the launcher or your platform’s store page, apply the patch, and only then attempt to enter the game.

300 Polychrome compensation for the maintenance

HoYoverse sends a fixed reward for the interruption. Players who reached Inter-Knot Level 4 or higher before the maintenance began receive 300 Polychrome as compensation once servers return.

Finish installing the 3.1 update and log into your account after the servers come back online.
Open the in-game Mail. The Polychrome arrives there rather than being added to your balance automatically.
Claim the reward from the mail before it expires. You will know it worked when the 300 Polychrome is added to your total and the mail entry shows as collected.

If the compensation mail is missing, the most common reason is that your account had not reached Inter-Knot Level 4 before the downtime started. Accounts below that threshold are not eligible for the reward.

With the servers live again, Version 3.1 is fully playable, including the debut of Remielle Dan and the anniversary content that arrived alongside the patch. If you were mid-run when the window began, restart the client, apply the update, and check your Mail first so the Polychrome is safely in hand.
