Bring Back The Sun: Sinister Forest Walkthrough (Roblox)

The Sinister Forest is the second map in Bring Back The Sun on Roblox, and it turns up the difficulty right after the Wizard’s House. You have two obbies to survive, a three-ingredient fertilizer puzzle, and a treasure hunt that closes the map. Finishing everything hands you the Tear of the Forest, the first of four relics you need for the wizard boss fight.

Quick answer: Cross the mushroom obby, break the glass case for code 9898 to get a pickaxe, grab the red plant before crossing back, mine a crystal for Mr. Mouse, then mix red, pink, and blue plants into the fertilizer box to grow a tree. Fell it with the magic gloves, clear the log obby, dig up the acid potion, build a ladder to trade the apple to the owl for a key, open the chest for the treasure map, then die to respawn and dig the X near spawn.

Cross the mushroom obby and find code 9898

From spawn, drop onto the red mushrooms and cross the platforming section. If you fall, the whole obby restarts from the beginning, so move slowly rather than rushing the jumps.

On the far side, open the book on the picnic table. It tells you a magic “happy rock” can break any glass nearby.

Grab the small white stone behind the nearby rock, then use it on the glass cabinet to smash it open. The red sign inside reveals the code 9898.

Drop back into the mushroom pit and enter 9898 on the safe’s keypad. A “correct code has been entered” message appears and the safe gives you a pickaxe.

Grab the red plant before crossing back

The game never prompts you, but the red plant on this side is one of the three fertilizer ingredients you need later. Drop down the small ledge and collect it now so you don’t have to re-run the obby for it.

With the pickaxe and red plant in hand, climb the metal ladder and cross the mushroom obby one more time to return to the main side.

Mine the crystal and open Mr. Mouse’s gate

Use the pickaxe on the large grey rock near you. It shatters and reveals a purple crystal.

Carry the crystal to the brown mouse sitting by the gate marked “Dangerous Forest.” Hand it over, and the gate opens into the next area.

Solve the fertilizer puzzle and fell the tree

Pick up the seed from the picnic table and plant it in the dark mud patch beside it. The seed will not grow until you make fertilizer.

Open the book on the table to confirm the recipe. It calls for one red plant, one blue plant, and one pink plant.

Collect the pink plant tucked behind the large rock, then find the blue plant behind a tree near the logs. You already have the red plant from earlier.

Place all three plants into the fertilizer box (the glass jar). Once the jar of fertilizer is ready, pour it onto the planted seed, and a giant tree shoots up instantly.

Pick up the magic gloves from the corner of the fence and use them on the tree. It topples onto the fence, flattens it, and opens the path to the river.

Clear the log obby and dig up the acid potion

Jump across the floating wooden logs to cross the river. Falling into the water restarts this obby from the start, so take each log at a steady pace.

On the far bank, go behind the large rock formation to pick up the shovel lying on the ground.

Use the shovel on the dead dirt patches near the cabin. One specific patch hides a red test tube, the acid potion, so check the right patch rather than digging everything.

Build the ladder and trade the apple to the owl

Pour the acid potion onto the gold door handle of the cabin. It melts the handle so you can walk inside.

Grab the axe from the chair inside, then head out and chop the upright wooden logs. The chopped wood lets you build a ladder at the wooden frame on the ground.

Before you climb, grab the red apple from the table on the cabin’s front porch. The owl on the roof needs it, so carry it up with you.

Place the ladder against the cabin wall and climb to the roof. Getting onto the ladder can be fiddly, so line yourself up carefully.

Give the apple to the owl in the nest. In return, it hands you a gold chest key.

Open the chest and complete the treasure map

Climb down and return to the river obby, but this time take the right turn toward the small rocky island with the wooden chest. Use the gold key to open it and collect the treasure map.

The map shows an X mark behind a rock near the map’s starting area. The quickest way back is to intentionally die, which respawns you at the beginning of the map.

Find the X on the ground behind the rock near your spawn point. Equip the shovel and dig that exact spot to finish the treasure hunt.

Digging the X closes out the map and awards the Tear of the Forest relic, confirming the Sinister Forest is complete. The single detail that trips most players up is the red plant, so make sure it is in your inventory before you cross back for the fertilizer step. Keep the shovel and other carried tools with you, since items in Bring Back The Sun often matter again in later maps.
