How to get the Dog on the Fall Harvest map

Speak to the Explorer NPC to warp to the Fall Harvest Event map. The first time you do this, you start a brand new farm that is completely separate from your main garden.

Build up this new plot and grow Crops. On the event map, produce sells for Leaves rather than Sheckles, and Leaves are the currency you need to afford the Dog.

Watch the map for the Dog to appear. It has a random chance to spawn anywhere, so there is no fixed location. When you spot it, walk up and interact with it to lock in the 50,000 Leaves purchase.

If another player claims the Dog first, you can start a bidding war before they escort it back to their farm. Outbid them and the pet lands in your inventory instead.
