The Dog Blade is a limited-time Mythical sword in Blox Fruits, added with the Doghouse Event update on August 1, 2026. It was never sold in a shop or tied to a standard quest. Instead, it came out of a random reward item earned by clearing the event boss fights, which means completing the event did not guarantee you would walk away with the blade.
Quick answer: The Dog Blade could only be obtained by finishing the Doghouse Event, receiving a Love Letter as a completion reward, and opening it for a chance at the sword. With the event over, it is no longer obtainable until the developers rerun it.

What the Dog Blade is
The Dog Blade is a Mythical-rarity sword shaped like a curved cutlass. It has a glowing turquoise blade, a golden flower-shaped crossguard, and a silver-and-gold hilt. It sits in the same category as other event-exclusive swords, and current sword rankings list it among the unranked picks rather than the S-tier meta options like Yama or True Triple Katana.
Its value comes from movement and burst pressure rather than raw grinding damage. The fast dash attack, combo extension, short stun immunity, and area-of-effect finish make it a workable option for PvP, especially for extending combos or catching an opponent off guard.

| Move | Input | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Normal Attack | M1 | Three slashes, then a dash on the fourth hit. |
| Spoiled Strike | Z | Quick dash toward the target that leaves green afterimages, followed by a rapid string of slashes that ends behind the target. |
| Tantrum Mode | X | Turns you into a doghouse for five seconds. You stay stun-immune, can still move and use M1, and become invisible through Instinct. When it ends, the doghouse explodes for AoE damage. |
How the Doghouse Event obtainment worked
The Doghouse Event was a global, developer-triggered event. When it went live, the sky shifted to a blue or purple tint and a Dog House icon appeared in the bottom-left of the screen. Each Sea had its own Dog House, and interacting with one immediately started the event with no dialogue prompt.
The Love Letter opened like a gift or spin animation and handed out one item from a random pool. The Dog Blade was one of several possible results, alongside Dog House Skins, Dog House Frame Breaks, and Fruit Boxes. Because the drop was RNG, some players pulled the sword on their first Love Letter while others got a different reward entirely.
Full Doghouse Event rewards
Clearing the event granted a set of guaranteed rewards plus the randomized Love Letter contents.
| Reward | Type |
|---|---|
| One level (if not already max level) | Guaranteed |
| Grounded title | Guaranteed |
| Love Letter | Guaranteed drop item |
| Dog Blade | Random (from Love Letter) |
| Dog House Skins | Random (from Love Letter) |
| Dog House Frame Breaks | Random (from Love Letter) |
| Fruit Boxes | Random (from Love Letter) |
Can you still get the Dog Blade?
Not right now. The Dog Blade was tied entirely to the Doghouse Event, which ran on August 1, 2026 at 3:00 PM BST. Once the event window closed, the sword stopped being available through normal play, NPC shops, or crafting. There is no confirmed schedule for the event returning, so the only way it becomes obtainable again is if the developers choose to rerun it.
Note: A rumored rerun on August 2, 2026 did not actually happen inside the game. Players who were online on August 1 but whose server never spawned the event received a free Love Letter the following day as compensation. That was a one-time makeup drop, not a new obtainment path.
If you are chasing the sword now, the practical move is to watch for official announcements about a Doghouse Event rerun. Until one is confirmed, there is no in-game method to earn a Love Letter or roll for the Dog Blade.
