How to Build the Ocean Rest Spot Habitat in Pokopia (Barboach)

The three items you need and the exact order to place them so Barboach registers.

The Ocean Rest Spot is Habitat No. 019 in the Habitat Dex, and it sits in the water as a small relaxing corner built around a coral and a soft light. Restoring it registers Barboach, a Common Water-type, so this is the habitat you build when you want that encounter to appear.

Quick answer: Place a Seashell seat, a Small coral, and a Lampion together in the water. Once all three are set side by side, the habitat restores and Barboach is added to your list.

Ocean Rest Spot requirements

You need exactly three items, each with a quantity of one. Nothing else is required to trigger the restoration.

ItemQuantityHow to get it
Small coral1Dig it up with the rototiller
Seashell seat1The cushion you sit on beside the coral
Lampion1Collected from the nearby terraced platforms

All three pieces go into the water together. Keep them close so the game reads them as one arrangement.

How to build the Ocean Rest Spot

Dig up a Small coral. Use the rototiller tool on the spot where the coral mushroom is buried to pull it out.

Place the Seashell seat right next to the Small coral in the water. This is the cushion you’ll sit on beside the coral, so keep the two touching.
Travel to the nearby terraced platforms and collect a Lampion lamp. Bring it back to the same water spot.
Set the Lampion down beside the Seashell seat and the Small coral. With all three items grouped together, the habitat completes.

How to confirm it worked

When the third item lands correctly, the furniture placement objective ticks over and you’ll see the message “You’ve restored an ocean rest spot habitat!” The Habitat Dex entry for No. 019 flips from “You haven’t discovered this habitat yet” to a finished listing, and Barboach registers as the resident Pokémon.

If nothing triggers, the usual cause is spacing. All three items must be in the water and set close enough to count as one grouping. Move any stray piece nearer to the coral and seat, then check the placement prompt again.

What you unlock: Barboach

Restoring the Ocean Rest Spot lets you encounter and register Barboach, listed as Common. The finished habitat also reads as Horsea’s home, and its description invites you to sit on the cushion beside the coral and relax while gazing at the light.
