Squarrel is the Fire Aniimo at No. 47, a Lumin-stage Breaker with a fist-shaped tail and a pinecone-throwing kit. It has exactly one evolution, and that evolution is the only way to add Squashel to your Aniilog.
Quick answer: Raise a Squarrel to Lv. 47, then evolve it using Wave Stone x1. There are no other conditions and no other path to Squashel.
Squarrel evolution requirements
The line is a single step. Squarrel evolves into Squashel once it hits the required Aniimo level and you pay the evolution item.
| Evolution | Level | Condition | Items |
|---|---|---|---|
| Squarrel → Squashel | Lv. 47 | Aniimo reaches Lv. 47 | Wave Stone x1 |
Nothing else gates it. There is no photo objective, no Alpha fight, and no quest to finish first, so the whole task is levelling and one stone. Squashel has no further evolution.

Add to Google Preferences →Where to catch Squarrel
Squarrel lives in Blitzwood in the Breezy Plains region, spawning at levels 40 to 45. That range matters, because a wild catch already lands close to the evolution threshold and saves you a long grind from a low-level capture.
Squashel shares the same habitat, so wild encounters there can include the evolved form as well. Catching one directly still leaves the Squarrel entry blank, so the evolution route is worth doing regardless.

How to evolve Squarrel into Squashel
If the Evolve button is unavailable, the requirement panel on that same page tells you which condition is still unmet, so there is no need to guess.
How to confirm the evolution worked
After the evolution animation, the creature’s name changes to Squashel and its Aniilog number moves from No. 47 to No. 48. Its stage reads Nova instead of Lumin.
Two new combat options also appear on the skill list. Blazing Fist Barrage and the Blazing Rush finisher are only available on the evolved form, so seeing them confirms the change took.

What Squashel gains over Squarrel
The stat jump is concentrated in survivability and break pressure rather than raw attack. Both forms are Fire element and fill the Break role.
| Stat | Squarrel | Squashel |
|---|---|---|
| HP | 53 | 110 |
| Attack | 80 | 82 |
| BP attack | 94 | 108 |
| Defense | 79 | 80 |
| Magic defense | 72 | 80 |
| EP regen | 77 | 88 |
HP roughly doubles, which is the difference that matters most in practice, since Squarrel’s low pool makes it fragile for a frontline breaker. Height goes from 0.8 m to 1 m, and both forms weigh 6 kg.
The evolved form keeps the same core loop and adds to it. Pinecone Bomb applies the Pinecone mark, Heavy Tail Strike consumes that mark for extra damage and a stun, and Blazing Fist Barrage consumes it instead to empower the next basic attack into a rapid punch sequence. Blazing Rush is the heavy finisher, at 209 power.
Both forms share the Raging Fire trait. After using a skill, the next basic attack within 10 seconds immediately fires the final hit of the basic attack chain, with its Might raised from 4 to 25.
Squarrel and Squashel forms
Neither Aniimo in this family has an alternate or regional form. The only variant is the Prismana version, which appears in the wild at a rate of 5e-05 and keeps identical base stats to the standard form.
Fire element matchups for Squashel
Squashel’s whole kit is Fire, so its damage profile is fixed. Fire attacks deal 1.6x damage to Grass and Ice, and 0.625x to Fire, Holy, Rock, and Water.
On defense, keep it away from Water and Dark attackers. Water hits Fire for 1.6x, and Dark also lands at 1.6x, while Fire, Grass, and Ice attacks are reduced against it.
Squarrel and Squashel traits to complete
Each form carries its own Aniilog trait objectives, and evolving does not clear the ones tied to Squarrel. Finish the Squarrel entries before or after evolving, using a second captured Squarrel if needed.
- Take a photo of Squarrel while it dashes.
- Twine with Squashel and warm up beside a wild Squarrel.
- Photograph Squashel warming up and getting ready to fight.
- Witness Squashel fight to protect Squarrel.
Two of those four need both forms present at once, which is another reason to keep a spare Squarrel rather than evolving your only one. Blitzwood is the single habitat for both, so all four can be worked through in one area.
